Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 48-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 77 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 2/24/2020:
Sean Matthew Bernard, 31 years of age, Address-Egle St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 2/24/2020 at 1:07 A.M.
Charge: Turn Signal Violation
Possession of Methamphetamine
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Failure to Dim Headlights
An officer observed a traffic violation in the area of Highway 182 and Myrtle St. A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver was identified as Sean M. Bernard. During the traffic stop, Bernard was found in possession of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Leo Griffin Vaughn, 42 years of age, Address-Chatsworth St. Morgan City, La., was arrested on 2/24/2020 at 12:01 P.M.
Warrant: Unauthorized Entry of Inhabited Dwelling
The warrant stems from a complaint filed with the Morgan City Police Department on February 23, 2020. During the investigation, Leo Vaughn was identified as entering a residence without consent. A warrant was obtained for his arrest.

Officers came into contact with Jordan Granger on Highway 182. Officers observed Granger was in an intoxicated condition. He was placed under arrest and was found in possession of a suspected legend drug. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Glynn Anthony Guidry Jr., 39 years of age, Address-Carline St., Berwick, La., was arrested on 2/25/2020 at 2:03 A.M.

Driving While Intoxicated (1st Offense)
Warrants: Failure to Appear (7 Counts)
An officer observed a traffic violation in the area of Federal Ave. and Brashear Ave. A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver was identified as Glynn A Guidry Jr. During the traffic stop, the officer suspected driver impairment. A Field Sobriety Test was given, and Guidry performed poorly on the test. A computer check revealed the vehicle Guidry was driving was not insured. A warrant check revealed the City Court of Morgan City held active warrants for his arrest. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the Morgan City Police Department, Guidry was given an intoxilyzer test and gave a breath sample of 0.237g%. He was booked and incarcerated at the Morgan City Police Department.
Dean Joseph Beranek, 34 years of age, Address-Burchfield Lane, Berwick, La., was arrested on 2/25/2020 at 8:19 A.M.
Charge: Driving under Suspension

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Highway 182 and Federal Ave. The driver was identified as Dean J. Beranek. A computer check revealed his license was under suspension, and the vehicle he was driving was not insured. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department.
Gerald Jones Jr., 19 years of age, Address-Keith St., Morgan City, La., was placed under arrest on 2/25/2020 at 12:20 P.M.
Warrant: Failure to Appear
Gerald Jone Jr. turned himself into the Morgan City Police Department on an active warrant held by the City Court of Morgan City. He was booked and incarcerated at the Morgan City Police Department.

During the traffic stop, Bushinelle was found in possession of suspected Methamphetamine. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Derek Gould Jr., 34 years of age, Address- Levee Rd. Morgan City, La., was arrested on 2/26/2020 at 2:45 A.M.
