Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded 51 to calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 02/27/2020:
Tra Acosta, 23 years of age, Address-Railroad Ave Morgan City, LA was arrested on 02/27/2020 at 8:34 A.M.
Charges: Warrant-FTA to pay fine for Hit and Run
Warrant-FTA to pay fine for Window tint violation
Acosta was located at his residence by officers and placed under arrest on active warrants held the the City Court of Morgan City. Acosta was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking.
Melody Wolf, 45 years of age, Address-Caliente St. Norfolk, VA was arrested on 02/27/2020 at 9:45 A.M.

Carlos Rodriguez, 24 years of age, Address-Flaxman St. Pensacola, FL was arrested on 02/27/2020 at 9:45 A.M.

Gregory Kallam Jr, 37 years of age, Address-Caliente St. Norfolk, VA was arrested on 02/27/2020 at 9:45 A.M.
Charges: Possession of Marijuana 1st Offense
An officer observed a vehicle make an illegal turn at the intersection of Federal Ave and Brashear Ave. The officer conducted a traffic stop, and identified the driver as Melody Wolf. While speaking with her the officer could smell a strong odor of suspected marijuana coming from the vehicle. The officer then spoke with the other passengers, identified as Carlos Rodriguez and Gregory Kallam. During the investigation, the officer located suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Rodriguez was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine. All three subjects were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.
Elton Pinn, 36 years of age, Address-Saint. Claire St. Morgan City, LA was arrested on 02/27/2020 at 11:05 A.M.
Charges: Warrant-Parish Purpose
Pinn was located in City Court of Morgan City and placed under arrest on a Warrant from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office. Pinn was booked at the Morgan City Police Department.
Gerald Ruffin, 37 years of age, Address-Bush St. Morgan City, LA was arrested on 02/27/2020 at 11:28 A.M.
