Arrest Report 07/11/2014

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 07/11/2014:

 

 

Dewayne Williams, 50 years of age, Address-Lockley St. Baldwin, La. was arrested on 07/10/2014 @ 6:57pm

Charge: Operating a Vehicle with a Suspended Drivers License

     An officer responded to a minor vehicle crash in the area of Fifth St. and Duke St. A driver involved in the crash, Dewayne Williams was discovered to have a suspended drivers license.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.  He was released after posting a cash bond.  There were no injuries in the accident. 

 

 

Katie M. Smith, 18 years of age, Address-Jackson St. Franklin, La. was arrested on 07/10/2014 @ 9:24am

Charge: Domestic Abuse Battery

Officers were dispatched to a Highway 182 in the 7100 block for a domestic disturbance. Officers arrived and were advised that a male and female had become involved in an altercation that turned into a physical confrontation.  Officers learned that during the altercation, a female, Katie Smith struck a male subject.  She was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Rebecca A. Martin, 42 years of age, Address-Allison St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/10/2014 @ 5:13pm

Charge: Simple Battery of a Juvenile, Appearing in an Intoxicated Condition

     Officers were dispatched to a disturbance at an Allison St. residence. Officers arrived and learned that Rebecca Martin, who was intoxicated became involved in an altercation with a juvenile.  During the altercation, it is alleged that Martin struck the 13 year old juvenile.  Martin was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.
