The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 08/18/2014:
Marcus S. Hatch, 40 years of age, Address-Fourth St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 08/18/2014 @ 12:00pm
Charge: Warrant: Failure to Appear-Simple Criminal Damage to Property (2 Counts), Contempt of Court
Marcus Hatch was transferred from L.E.C. to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked on outstanding warrants for the Sixth Ward Court of Morgan City. He was booked and remains incarcerated.
Keyandre V. Polidore, 23 years of age, Address-Clement St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 08/18/2014 @ 3:05pm
Charge: Operating a Vehicle with a Suspended Drivers License; Stop Sign Violation; Warrant-Patterson, La. Distribution of Cocaine
A patrolling officer observed a vehicle fail to negotiate a stop sign in the area of Shannon St. and Terrebone St. and stopped the vehicle to investigate. The driver, Keyandre Polidore was found to be operating a vehicle with a suspended drivers license. He was also found to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for the Patterson Police Department for a felony, Distribution of Cocaine. He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
James D. Wells III, 35 years of age, Address-Shirley Dr. Houma, La. was arrested on 08/18/2014 @ 6:59pm
Charge: Appearing in Public Intoxicated; Possession of Schedule III CDS-Suboxone; Possession of Schedule III CDS-Clonazepam
Officers received a call of an intoxicated subject in the parking lot of a Highway 182 business and arrived to investigate. Officers discovered a male subject, James Wells lying in the parking lot in an impaired condition. The subject was detained and upon further investigation was found to be in possession of two Schedule III CDS drugs-Clonazepam and Suboxone. He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
Robert R. McMichael, 22 years of age, Address-Brashear Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/18/2014 @ 10:07pm
Charge: Improper Lighting; Operating with a Susended Drivers License; Warrant: Failure to Pay Fine-Improper Lighting; Warrant: Failure to Pay Fine-No Insurance.

An officer patrolling the area near Federal Ave. and Brashear observed a vehicle with improper lighting and stopped the vehicle to investigate. The driver, Robert McMichael was found to be operating a vehicle with a suspended drivers license. He was also found to be wanted on outstanding warrants from the Sixth Ward Court of Morgan City and was arrested. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Charge: Possession of Schedule II CDs-Crack Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute; Possession of Schedule I CDS-Synthetic Cannabinoids (6th Offense); Warrant-Morgan City PD-Principle to Armed Robbery; Warrant: Fugitive-Rayne P.D.-Traffic Violations
Dwight P. Blackburn, 35 years of age, Address-Prairie St. Franklin, La. was arrested on 08/19/2014 @ 1:49am
Charge: Possession of Schedule II CDs-Crack Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute; Possession of Schedule I CDS-Synthetic Cannabinoids; Operating a Vehicle with a Suspended Drivers License; Improper Lighting; Warrant: Failure to Appear-Reckless Operation and Driving Under Suspension
A patrollling officer observed a vehicle traveling on Highway 182 in Morgan City with improper lighting. The officer stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as Dwight Blackburn. Mr. Blackburn was found to be operating a vehicle with a suspended drivers license. He was also found to be wanted on outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department. He was arrested. Officers gathered evidence which indicated that the vehicle may contain illegal narcotics and began in investigation. The officers identified the passenger in the vehicle, Eric L. Fontenot and found outstanding warrants for Mr. Fontenot from Rayne PD as well as the Morgan City Police Department. The Morgan City Police Department possessed an outstanding warrant for Mr. Fontenot which identified Mr. Fontenot as a suspect which was involved in an armed robbery which was reported to the Morgan City Police Department on October 16, 2010. In that incident, the victim was allegedly robbed by subjects armed with a handgun. Fontenot was identified in that investigation and a warrant secured. During a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers located crack cocaine and synthetic cannabinoids. Both subjects were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and remain incarcerated.
Barbara L. Fraley, 49 years of age, Address-Delmar St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/19/2014 @ 3:14am
Charge: Warrant: Failure to Appear-Following too Close; Warrant: Failure to Appear-No Drivers License on Person; Warrant: Contempt of Court
A patrolling officer located Barbara Fraley in the area of Federal Ave. near Egle St. and found her to be wanted on outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department. Fraley was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.
