Arrest Report 08/22/2014

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 08/21/2014:

 

 

Brandon G. Griffin, 19 years of age, Address-Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/21/2014 @ 9:22pm

Charge: Warrant: Theft ; Warrant: Illegal Possession of Stolen Things

     Officers came into contact with a male subject, Brandon Griffin in the area of Teche Regional Hospital and learned of an outstanding Morgan City Police warrant for his arrest.  The warrants stemmed from an investigation of a theft of a camera by Thibodaux Police Department which indicated that the camera was taken to Morgan City and pawned at a local pawn shop for $120.00 in cash.  Morgan City Police Detectives investigated and secured arrest warrants for Griffin with regards to the May 2014 incident. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. He was released after posting a cash bond. 

 

 

Shane T. Martin, 43 years of age, Address-Sixth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/22/2014 @ 1:06am

Charge: Improper Lighting; Operating a Vehicle while Intoxicated 

A patrolling officer observed a vehicle with improper lighting in the area of Eighth St. and Clothilde and stopped the vehicle to investigate.  The driver, Shane Martin was observed to be in an impaired condition by the officer and submitted to a field sobriety test which he failed.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he submitted to the Intoxilyzer 5000 test which indicated a blood alcohol concentration of .086g%.  He was booked and incarcerated.
