The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 09/03/2014:

 

 

Michael M. Gonzales, 26 years of age, Address-Ditch Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/03/2014 @ 4:03am

Charge: Warrant: Careless Operation; Warrant: Felony Criminal Damage to Property

Michael Gonzales was located at a Ditch Ave. residence and placed under arrest on outstanding warrants for the Sixth Ward Court of Morgan City.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and remains incarcerated. 

 

 

Leonard A. Yarborough, 52 years of age, Address-Arenz St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/03/2014 @ 10:17am

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Appear-Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

Leonard Yarborough was located at an Arenz St. address and placed under arrest on an outstanding warrant for the Sixth Ward Court of Morgan City.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Jerry A. Boyer, 70 years of age, Address-Michigan St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/03/2014 @ 6:48pm

Charge: Appearing in Public Intoxicated

     Officers were dispatched to the area of Fifth St. and Brashear Ave. in regards to an intoxicated subject who was almost struck by a passing vehicle.  Officers arrived and located the subject, Jerry Bowyer who was found to be in an impaired condition.  Bowyer was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and remains incarcerated. 

 

 

Sharon Jones, 42 years of age, Address-Highway 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/03/2014 @ 9:00pm

Tieyon K. Martinez, 28 years of age, Address-Eleventh St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/03/2014 @ 9:01pm

     Officers encounted a large disturbance at a Highway 182 motel and proceeded to locate several subjects involved in a verbal altercation in the parking lot.  The sugjects, Kathy Schuab, Tieyon Martinez, and Sharon Jones were instructed by officers to refrain from causing the disturbance by yelling profanities and threats.  The disturbance was being viewed by others including children in the area.  When the subjects refused to comply, they were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated.
