Arrest Report 10/09/2014

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 10/08/2014:

 

 

Thomas D. Barefoot, 48 years of age, Address-Second St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/08/2014 @ 8:00am

Charge: Warrrant: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

     Thomas Barefoot was located by officers at a Second St. address and placed under arrest on an outstanding warrant for the Morgan City Police Department.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Michelle Brown, 42 years of age, Address-Fifth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/08/2014 @ 8:16am

Charge: Disturbing the Peace; Warrant: Failure to Appear-Misuse of 911 Emergency System

     Officers dispatched to the area of Fifth St. and Everette St. regarding a female causing a disturbance located Michelle Brown who according to the complainant entered onto another's property and began to cause a disturbance.  Brown, who was also found to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for the Sixth Ward Court of Morgan City was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Javian J. Francis, 17 years of age, Address-Oregon St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 10/08/2014 @ 9:08am

Charge: Illegal Use of Contraband in Presence of Persons under the age of 17; Possession of Schedule I CDS-Marijuana; Contributing to the Deliquency of a Juvenile

Ciara M. Leonard, 27 years of age, Address-Highway 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/08/2014 @ 9:08am

Charge: Illegal Use of Contraband in Presence of Persons Under the age of 17; Possession of Schedule I CDS-Marijuana (3rd Offense); Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Contributing to the Deliquency of a Juvenile

     Officers were dispatched to a Highway 182 apartment complex in regards to suspected drug activity in the presence of a juvenile.  Officers arrived and located the apartment in question.  Officers made contact with the occupants, Ciara Leonard and Javien Francis, who was found inside  a bathroom of the apartment with a 15 year old male juvenile.  Officers located suspected marijuana inside the bathroom of the apartment along with items of paraphernalia.  Officers received statements from the suspects admitting to the illegal use of the substance in the presence of the juvenile.  Both subjects were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Kimberly Harris, 42 years of age, Address-Levee Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/08/2014 @ 5:15pm

Charge: Warrant: Probation Violation

     Kimberly Harris was located in the City Court of Morgan City and placed under arrest on an outstandin warrant for the Sixth Ward City Court.  She was escorted to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Cody Rink, 18 years of age, Address-Jennie Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/08/2014 @ 7:01pm

Charge: Possession of Synthetic Marijuana; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

     Officers were dispatched to a Highway 182 apartment complex in regards to suspicious activity.  Officers located several subjects in the area and upon identifying the subject, located Cody Rink who was wanted on an outstanding warrant for the Morgan City Police Department.  Rink, upon his arrest was also found to possess suspected synthetic marijuana and was additionally charge.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
