Arrest Report 10/14/2014

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 10/13/2014:

 

 

Melvin Thibodeaux, 45 years of age, Address-James St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/13/2014 @ 4:00pm

Charge: Warrants: Failure to Pay Fine (2 Counts)

     Mevline Thibodeaux was transported to the Morgan City Police Department jail facility from L.E.C. in Centerville where he was booked on outstanding warrants for the City Court of Morgan City.  He was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Chantel T. Burke, 21 years of age, Address-Railroad Ave. Patterson, La. was arrested on 10/13/2014 @ 9:39pm

Charge: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

     Officers were dispatched to a Highway 182 location in regards to a suspicious subject.  Officers arrived and located a female who appeared highly intoxicated.  Officers attempts to locate a safe location for the female, identified as Chantel Burke were unsuccessful.  Burke was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

James L. Griffin, 25 years of age, Address-Park St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 10/14/2014 @ 1:46am

Charge: Warrant: Criminal Damage to Propertyp; Warrant: Failure to Appear-Damage to Property; Warrant: Probation Violation

     James Griffin was located on Highway 182 in Morgan City and placed under arrest on several outstanding warrants for the City Court of Morgan City.  Griffin was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Britain M. Boudreaux, 26 years of age, Address-Houma, La. was arrested on 10/14/2014 @ 2:59am

Charge: Red LIght Violation; Possession of Synthetic Marijuana (1st Offense)

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle fail to stop for a red light in the area of  Hwy 90 and Brashear Ave. and stopped the vehicle to investigate.  The driver of the vehicle was identified as Britain Boudreaux.  As officers approached the vehicle, they observed suspected synthetic marijuana inside the vehicle.  The driver, Boudreaux admitted to the use of the substance and was arrested.  The evidence was recovered and Boudreaux was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Anthony L. Watson Jr, 23 years of age, Address-Mallard St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/14/2014 @ 4:31am

Charge: Warrant: Armed Robbery

     Anthony Watson Jr. 

     Anthony Watson Jr. was located in the Brownell Homes area and placed under arrest on an outstanding warrant for armed robbery.  The warrant was a result of an investigation by Morgan City Police Detectives into a robbery which was reported on September 22, 2014.   Anthony Watson Jr. was identified by witnesses as a suspect in the robbery of another on September 19, 2014 in which the victim was robbed of jewelry valued at $300.00 while the offender was armed with a pipe or stick.   The incident, which was reported to have occurred on Barrow St. in Morgan City was then reported to the police.  Watson was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
