The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 06/11/2016.

Philippian Lewis, 34 years of age, Address: Federal Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/11/2016 @ 2:54am. 

Charges:  Child Desertion

Katelynn S Morgan, 22 years of age, Address: Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/11/2016 @ 3:07am. 

Charges: Disturbing the Peace
                 Possession of Marijuana

     Officers responded to an address on Federal Avenue in regard to a small child being left home alone. The officers arrived and spoke with the complainant who identified himself as the father of the child left alone. The father told the officers that he had gone to the Federal Avenue address to check on the child. When the father didn't recieve an asnwer, he entered the residence where he located his child 2 years of age home alone. During an investigation, the officers identified the mother of the child as Philippian Lewis. Reports indicate that Lewis left the child inside the residence while Lewis went to work in Amelia. Contact was made with Lewis who was summond to the residence and arrived moments later. Officers spoke with Lewis about the incident at which time Lewis was placed under arrest. During the investigation, another individual on scene identified as Katelynn S Morgan began shouting and cursing at the officers. According to reports, Morgan was told by the officers to lower her voice but Morgan ignored the officer's warnings and continued shouting at officers at which time Morgan was placed under arrest. Both Lewis and Morgan were transported to the Morgan City Police Department Jail where after a thorough search, officers located suspected Marijuana on Morgan. Lewis and Morgan were booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated. 

Brennan P Cenac, 27 years of age, Address: Kreamer St. Houma, La. was arrested on 06/11/2016 @ 7:45pm. 

Charge:  Warrant - Domestic Abuse Battery

     Brennan P Cenac was located by Officers at Lake End Park where Cenac was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the 32nd Judicial District Courts. Cenac was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Chance Rose, 40 years of age, Address: East 12th St. Thibodaux, La. was arrested on 06/11/2016 @ 9:39pm.

Charges:  Possession of Schedule IV CDS (Lyrien)
                  Domestic Abuse Battery

     Officers responded to a local motel on Hwy 182 in regard to a call of a disturbance inside one of the rooms. Officers arrived when it was learned that one of the individuals involved in the disturbance had left before officers arrived. A description was provided when officers located Chance Rose who matched the description in the area moments later. During an investigation, the officers spoke with a subject inside the room who showed signs of a battery. The subject later learned to be the victim of a battery told the officers that the victim and Rose were involved in an argument when Rose committed a battery on the victim. Reports indicate that during a search, officers located suspected Lyrien a schedule IV CDS on Rose's person. Rose was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Alonzo J Henry, 21 years of age, Address: Williams St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 06/12/2016 @ 3:09am.

Charges:  Possession of Marijuana
                  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                  Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance

     A patrolling officer observed a suspicios vehicle parked inside Lake End Park. As the officer approached, the vehicle appeared to be occuppied by one individual. An investigational stop was conducted when the officer identified Alonzo J Henry as the occupant of the vehicle. Reports indicate that Henry's behavior aroused the officer's suspicions that Henry may be involved in illegal drug activity. A search of the vehicle was conducted when according to reports the officer located suspected marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a firearm. Henry was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
