Obscured Windshield
A patrolling officer observed a vehicle traveling in the area of Hwy 182 with a damaged windshield that appeared to be obscuring the driver's view. As the officer got behind the vehicle, the vehicle was observed traveling out of its proper lane of travel. A traffic stop was conducted when the driver of the vehicle was identified as Heidi R Sams. During a traffic investigation, Sams behavior aroused the officer's suspicions that Sams may be involved in illegal drug activity. A search of the vehicle was conducted when the officer located suspected ketorolac, gabapentin and drug parphernalia according to reports. Sams was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
Thomas G Semmens, 26 years of age, Address: General Hodges St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/23/2016 @ 2:22am.

Driving While Intoxicated 2nd Offense
A patrolling officer observed a vehicle traveling on Hwy 182 out of its proper lane of travel. A traffic stop was conducted when the driver of the vehicle was identified as Thomas G Semmens. During a traffic investigation, Semmens was suspected to have been drinking and was believed to be intoxicated. Semmens was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for further chemical testing where according to reports Semmens refused the submit to the Intoxilyzer 5000. Semmens was placed under arrest, booked and incarated into the Morgan City Jail.
