Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverage Within Vehicle
A patrolling officer observed a vehicle on Hwy 182 near Pecos Street traveling out of its proper lane of travel. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle identified as Melissa V Frangenberg. During a traffic investigation, reports indicate that Frangenberg's behavior aroused the officer's suspicions that she may be involved in illegal narcotics activity. A search of the vehicle was conducted when the officer located suspected marijuana, methamphetamine, drug paraphernlia and an open container of an alcoholic beverage. Frangernberg was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
Vernon J Robin Jr., 53 years of age, Address: Front St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/27/2016 @ 1:57am.

Driving While Intoxicated
A officer responded to a local fast food restaurant on Hwy 182 in regard the a driver of a vehicle sleeping in the drive through line. The officer arrived when a vehicle matching the above description was located and the driver of the vehicle appeared to a asleep with the engine running and in gear. The officer spoke with the driver of the vehicle later identified as Vernon J Robin Jr. During an investigation, reports indicate that Robin Jr. was suspected to have been drinking and appeared to be intoxicated. The officer also discovered that the license plate on the vehicle was expired. Robin Jr. was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for futher chemical testing where Robin Jr. submitted to the Intoxilyzer 5000 yielding a blood alcohol concentration of .136 grams percent. Robin Jr. was arrested and booked into the Morgan City Jail.
Stephen Foret, 24 years of age, Address: St. Peter Street Patterson, La. was arrested on 08/27/2016 @ 7:15pm.
Charge: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
Officers responded to a local super market on Hwy 182 in regard to a intoxicated subject causing a disturbance. Officers arrived and located a subject matching the description provided identified as Stephen Foret. The officers were told by several store employees that Foret went to one of the registers where he began to use loud profane language. Foret was told by emplyees several times to calm down but refused to do so. Officers spoke with Foret who according to reports was suspected to have been drinking and appeared to be intoxicated. Foret was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Edward Scott, 58 years of age, Address: Fifth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/27/2016 @ 10:46pm.
Charge: Domestic Abuse Battery
Officers responded to a residence on Wren Street in regard to a reported distubance. The officers arrived when they located a female who showed signs of a battery and Edward Scott inside the residence. The officers were told that Scott and the female were involved in an argument when Scott committed a battery on the female. Scott was placed under arrest for the alleged battery and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booke and incarcerated.
Peggy M Charles, 68 years of age, Address: Everett St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/28/2016 @ 11:13am.
Charges: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
Resisting An Officer
Officers responded to the area of Duke Street near Florida Street in regard to reported drug activity involving a female in the area. The officers arrived when they located Peggy M Charles who matched the description provided. Reports indicate that Charles was found to be in possession of an opened alcoholic beverage and was believed to be intoxocated. Charles was placed under arrest when she began to pull away from officers. After a short struggle, Charles was handcuffed and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
Britten M Boudreaux, 31 years of age, Address: Elizabeth Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/28/2016 @ 1:57pm.

Resisting An Officer
A patrolling officer observed a suspicios subject walking in the area of Federal Avenue near Marhsall Street. The officer approached to speak with the subject later identified as Britten Boudreaux when Boudreaux began running from the officer. A foot chase ensued when according to reports, Boudreaux was observed running through private yards and jumping several fences in attempts to evade police. Boudreaux was aprehended moments later where he was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Obstruction of Justice
Officers responded to a local motel on Hwy 182 in regard suspected drug activity inside one the rooms. The officers arrived when they went to the described room where they located Tanisha L Wilkerson. During an investigation, reports indicate that Wilkerson's behavior lead officers to believe that she was involved in illegal narcotics activity. A search of the room was conducted when officers located suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. During the investigation, a subject later identified as Verelyn B Cannon entered the room. Upon seeing officers, Cannon quickly exited the room and attempted to walk away when he was detained. Reports indicate that officers recovered suspected cocaine near Cannon which was believed to have discarded upon seeing the officers. Both Wilkerson and Cannon were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.
