Driving Under Suspension
A patrolling officers observed a vehicle on Hwy 182 near Myrtle Street traveling out of its lane of travel. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle itentified as David Elliot Jr.. A drivers license check revealed that Elliot Jr. had a suspended drivers license. Elliot Jr. was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Somoa K Scott Jr. was located by officers at a residence on Hilda Street where he was arrested on several active arrest warrants held by the 16th Judicial District Court. Scott Jr. was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
Zachary Richard, 25 years of age, Address: W. Madison Lane Broussard, La. was arrested on 08/31/2016 @ 5:30pm
Charge: Warrant - Failure to Appear on 02/23/16 for Theft
Zachary Richard was surrendered to the Morgan City Police Department by a local bail bond service in regard to an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Richard was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Ralph Harcum was located by officers on Railroad Avenue near Second Street where he was arrested on several active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Harcum was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Markita L Turner, 26 years of age, Address: Terrebonne St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/31/2016 @ 9:44pm.

Officers responded to residence on Terrebonne Street in regard to a reported disturbance. The officers arrived where they located Markita L Turner who was identified as one of the persons involved in the distubance. During an investigation, reports indicate that Turner had given officers a false name to hide her true identity and then attempted to flee the residence from officers. Turner was apprehended moments later and continued to resist officers. After a short struggle, Turner was placed into handcuffs and her true identity revealed. A warrants checked revealed that Turner had active arrest warrants through the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Officers also located suspected marijuana in view while investigating the disturbance according to reports. The location of the incident was within the area of a local school in violation of uniformed controlled dangerous substance laws. Turner was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
Connie Haynes, 48 years of age, Address: Jeddo St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 09/01/2016 @ 3:13am.

Driving While Intoxicated
A patrolling officer observed a vehicle on the Hwy 182 traveling out of its lane of travel. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle identified as Connie Haynes. During the traffic investigation, reports indicate that Haynes was suspected to have been drinking was believed to be intoxicated. Haynes was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for further chemical testing where Haynes submitted to the Intoxilyzer 5000 yielding a blood alcohol concentration of .164 grams percent. Haynes was arrested and booked into the Morgan City Jail where she was incarcerated.
