MCPD Arrest Report 03/13/2017

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 03/10/2017.

Braylon Latiolas, 19 years of age, address: Village Lane Amelia, La, was arrested on 03/10/2017 @ 12:38 P.M.

Charges: Warrant: Identity Theft (Point Coupee Parish Sheriff's Office)

Braylon Latiolas was located by officers on Fig Street where he was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the Point Coupee Sheriff's Office. Latiolas was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Michaell Mejia, 20 years of age, address: Ditch Avenue Morgan City, La, was arrested on 03/10/2017 @ 4:57 P.M.

Charges: No Drivers License
                 Improper Turning

A patrolling officer observed a vehicle make an improper turn at the intersection of Hwy 182 and Duke Street. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle was identified as Michaell Mejia. During the course of the investigation it was learned that Mejia did not have a valid drivers license according to reports. Mejia was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Renitra  A. Christopher, 33 years of age, address: Terrebonne Street Morgan City, La, was arrested on 03/11/2017 @ 5:32 P.M.

Charges: Warrant: Hit and Run Driving

Renitra A. Christopher was arrested at the Morgan City Police Department in regards to a warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant was obtained from an investigation conducted by Morgan City Police of an alleged hit and run that occurred on December 12, 2016. Christopher was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Martin Guerrero, 50 years of age, address: Lake Polourde Amelia, La, was arrested on 03/11/2017 @ 6:59 P.M.

Charges: No Drivers License
                 Improper Lighting
                 Open Container in a vehicle

A patrolling officer observed a vehicle in the area of Hwy 182 and David Drive with improper lighting. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle was identified as Martin Guerrero. During a traffic investigation, it was learned that the driver did not have a valid driver's license and the officer observed an open container of alcohol in the vehicle according to reports. Guerrero was placed under arrest and booked in the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

John R. Ross, 29 years of age, address Levee Road Morgan City, La, was arrested on 03/12/2017 @ 4:55 A.M.

Charges: Warrant: Simple Battery

John Ross was located by officers at a Levee Road address where he was arrested on an active warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant was obtained from an investigation conducted by the Morgan City Police of an incident reported on  October 30, 2015 of an alleged battery. Ross was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Earl J. Mire, 45 years of age, address: Glenwood Street Morgan City, La, was arrested on 03/12/2017 @ 4:55 A.M.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana
                 Possession of Schedule II CDS (Adderall)

Jessica L. Garner, 25 years of age, Paul Street Pierre Part, La, was arrested on 03/12/2017 @ 4:55 A.M.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 Violation of Uniform CDS Law(Drug Free Zone)

Robert Caballero 03132017
Robert J. Caballero Jr., 33 years of age, address: Leonie Street Pierre Part, La, was arrested on 03/12/2017 @ 4:55 A.M.

Charges: Possession of Schedule I CDS (Ecstasy)
                 Possession of Schedule I CDS (Heroin)
                 Possession of Schedule II CDS (Methamphetamine)
                 Possession of Schedule IV CDS (Klonopin)
                 Violation of Uniform CDS Law (Drug Free Zone)
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Officers responded to a residence on Levee Road in regard to a call of illegal drug activity. Officers arrived and made contact with occupants of the residence identified as Earl Mire, Jessica Garner, and Rober Caballero. During an investigation, reports indicate that a search was conducted when officers located suspected Ecstasy, Heroin, Methamphetamine, Klonopin, Adderall, Marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. The location of the incident was within the area of a drug free zone in violation of uniform cds law. Mire, Garner, and Caballero were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Donnell Williams, 20 years of age, address: Trevino Street Berwick, La, was arrested on 03/12/2017 @ 11:43 A.M.

Charges: Probation Violation

Donnell Williams was located by officers on Egle Street when he was arrested on an active arrest  warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Williams was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Travis Morin 03132017
Travis J. Morin, 33 years of age, address: Roderick Street Morgan City, La, was arrested on 03/13/2017 @ 04:14 A.M.

Charges: Possession of Schedule II CDS (Methamphetamine)
                 Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
                 Disturbing the Peace
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 Violation of Uniform CDS Law (Drug Free Zone)

Officers were dispatched to the area of Roderick Street in regard to a vehicle being operated in a reckless manner. Officers arrived and located a vehicle matching the description parked at a Roderick Street residence. Officers spoke with several witnesses to the incident who told officers the vehicle was observed spinning its tires in the middle of the road way. During the investigation, reports indicate that Travis J. Morin was developed as the suspected driver of the vehicle. Morin was located at the Roderick Street address. While speaking with Morin officers observed in plain view  suspected Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Morin also began to yell profanities causing a disturbance according to report. The location of the incident was within the area of a Drug Free Zone in violation of uniform cds law. Morin was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
