Franklin Man Nabbed Transporting Methamphetamine into Morgan City

🚨 FRANKLIN MAN ARRESTED WITH LARGE AMOUNT OF METHAMPHETAMINE 🚨

On April 15, 2026, at approximately 2:00 p.m., the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division conducted a traffic stop that led to the arrest of Anthony Dwayne Lightfoot of Wilfred Ln in Franklin, Louisiana.

During the investigation, officers located a large amount of suspected methamphetamine inside the vehicle. It was learned that Lightfoot had recently traveled from the Franklin area and was in possession of the narcotics.

Lightfoot was arrested without incident and charged with:

▪️ Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine Over 28 Grams
▪️ Driver Must Be Licensed
▪️ Two Brake Lights Required

The Morgan City Police Department wants to make it clear that our investigators will continue to apply pressure on those involved in the distribution of illegal narcotics and will work tirelessly to keep these substances out of the Morgan City area.
