INTERPOL Manslaughter Fugitive Nabbed by Morgan City Police Officers

Arnoldo Alejandro Arita-Recinos, 29 years of age, Address: Roderick St. Morgan City, La arrested on 10/11/2025 @ 6:30 p.m. 

Charges: Resisting an Officer 
                     Disturbing the Peace 
                     Fugitive 
                     (Department of Homeland Security I.C.E)

On October 11th, 2025, officers with the Morgan City Police Department responded to a call regarding a disturbance involving Mr. Arnoldo Alejandro Arita-Recinos. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Recinos, who appeared to be intoxicated in a public place.

As officers attempted to take Recinos into custody for public intoxication, he began to physically resist and fight with officers. After a brief struggle, Recinos was safely detained and placed in handcuffs.

During the investigation, officers learned that Mr. Recinos was wanted by the International Criminal Police Organization INTERPOL for manslaughter charges originating from Honduras. The warrant was confirmed with the Department of Homeland Security - Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), who subsequently placed a detainer on Recinos for extradition.

Mr. Recinos was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he awaits federal extradition proceedings.
