🚔 PROACTIVE PATROL LEADS TO ARREST OF CONVICTED DRUG OFFENDER WITH COCAINE AND SYNTHETIC CANNABINOIDS 🚔

On June 22, 2026, patrol officers with the Morgan City Police Department arrested Keith Allen Clark, 52 years of age, of Barrow Street in Morgan City.

Clark was arrested and charged with:

• Possession of Sch II CDS - Cocaine - W.I.T.D.
• Possession of Sch I CDS - Synthetic Marijuana

During the late-night hours, patrol officers were conducting proactive patrols in a residential neighborhood when they observed Clark walking in the area. Upon noticing law enforcement, Clark attempted to flee on foot and discard illegal narcotics. Officers quickly detained Clark and recovered the discarded narcotics during the investigation.

Officers discovered Clark to be in possession of suspected crack cocaine, suspected powder cocaine, and suspected synthetic marijuana. Evidence recovered during the investigation led officers to believe the cocaine was intended for distribution within the Morgan City area.

Further investigation revealed that Clark is currently on probation through the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections for various drug-related offenses. As a result of the arrest and the nature of the charges, a hold was placed on Clark by Probation and Parole.

This arrest was made possible through the proactive efforts of Morgan City Police Department patrol officers who were diligently patrolling city neighborhoods during the late-night hours. The department continues to emphasize proactive policing strategies aimed at identifying criminal activity, removing illegal narcotics from the community, and ensuring a safer city for residents and visitors alike.
