The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 06/17/2016. 

Felton Charles Jr., 33 years of age, Address: Eleventh St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/17/2016 @ 3:11pm.

Charges:  Possession With the Intent to Distribute Cocaine
                  Possession of Heroin
                  Possession of Marijuana
                  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                  Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Laws
                  Resisting an Officer

Ameedah Charles, 31 years of age, Address: Eleventh St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/17/2016 @ 5:29pm.

Charges:  Possession With the Intent to Distribute Cocaine
                  Possession of Heroin
                  Possession of Marijuana
                  Possessoin of Drug paraphernalia
                  Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Laws
                  Obstruction of Justice

     Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Detectives along with the assistance of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Eleventh Street in Morgan City, La.. Upon approaching the residence investigators observed Felton Charles Jr. in the yard of the residence. When Charles Jr. observed the approaching officers, Charles Jr. fled the area running from investigators. A foot chased ensued for several blocks when Charles Jr. was apprehended moments later. Investigators entered the residence when a female identified as Ameedah Charles was located inside. A search of the residence was conducted when investigators located suspected cocaine, heroin, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. The location of the incident was within the area of a local church in violaiton of uniformed controlled dangerous substance laws. During the search of the resisdence, investigators discovered that Ameedah Charles had allegedly attempted to dispose of evidence in an attempted to hender the investigation. Both Felton Charles Jr. and Ameedah Charles were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated. 

Jerrold Arabie, 38 years of age, Address: Ditch Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/17/2016 @ 4:54pm. 

Charge:  Warrant - Probation Violation for Driving While Intoxicated

     Jerrold Arabie turned himself in to the Morgan City Court in regard to an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Arabie was booked into the Morgan CIty Jail and incarcerated. 

Jonathan K Perry, 32 years of age, Address: N St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 06/17/2016 @ 4:54pm.

                  Driving Under Suspension
                  Possession WIth the Intent to Distribute Cocaine
                  Illegal Use of CDS While in the Presence of Persons Under age 17
                  Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Laws

Keldon O Jones, 23 years of age, Address: Leo Dr. Patterson, La. was arrested on 06/17/2016 @ 6:11pm. 

Charges:  Possession With the Intent to Distribute MDMA (ecstasy)
                  Illegal Use of a CDS in the Presence of Persons Under age 17
                  Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Laws

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle traveling in the area of Cottonwood Street near Victor II Blvd with a busted front windshield which appeared to be obstructing the drivers view. A traffic stop was conducted with the assistance of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office when the officer observed three occupants inside the vehicle identified Johnathan K Perry (driver), Keldon O Jones (passenger) and a male juvenile 7 years of age. A drivers license check was conducted which revealed that Perry had a suspected drivers license. During an investigation, Perry and Jones's behavior arroused the officer's suspicions that they may be involved in illegal drug activity. A search of the vehicle was conducted when the officers located suspected cocaine and MDMA (ecstasy). The location of the incident was within the area of a local church in violation of uniformed controlled dangerous substance laws. Both Perry and Jones were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated. 

Micah Soileau, 18 years of age, Address: Joey St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 06/17/2016 @ 11:56pm. 
 
Charge:  Contempt of Court

     Micah Soileau who was incarcerated in the Morgan City Jail was booked on an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Soileau was booked on the warrant and remains incarcerated. 

Rickie J Hayes, 52 years of age, Address: Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/18/2016 @ 2:24am. 

Charge:  Failure to Appear on 04/11/16 for Simple Assault

     Rickie J Hayes was located at a local business on Hwy 182 where Hayes was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Hayes was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Joshua Johnson, 30 years of age, Address: Eleventh St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/18/2016 @ 3:44am. 

Charges:  Possession With the Intent to Distribute Cocaine
                  Possession With the Intent to Distribute Alprazolam
                  Possession With the Intent to Distribute MDMA (ecstasy)
                  Resisting an Officer
                  Obstruction of Justice

     A patrolling officer observed a subject riding a bicycle in the area of Onstead Street and Federal Avenue. The officer conducted an investigatory stop due to several burglary reports in the area when the driver of the bicycle was identified as Joshua Johnson.  Reports indicate that during the investigation, Johnson was nervous and became irate with the officer. Johnson then ran from the officer on foot at which time a foot chase ensued. Reports indicate that while chasing Johnson, the officer observed Johnson discard an object from his person. Johnson was captured moments later and the object observed discarded recovered which contained suspected cocaine, alprazolam and MDMA (ecstasy). Johnson was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Joseph Breaux Jr., 44 years of age, Address: Monitor Dr. Slidell, La. was arrested on 06/18/2016 @ 4:00am. 

Charge:  Driving Under Suspension

     An officer conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 182 in regard to the vehicle matching the description of a vehicle invoved in an incident at a local business. During an investigation it was learned that the driver of the vehicle identified as Joseph Breaux had a suspended drivers license. Breaux was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Dwayne Clark, 44 years of age, Address: Verdun Lane, Franklin, La. was arrested on 06/18/2016 @ 10:10pm. 

Charges:  Driving Under Suspension
                  Warrant - Probation Violation

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle make an improper turn at the intersection of Fourth Street and Duke Street. A traffic stop was conducted when the driver of the vehicle was identified as Dwayne Clark. During an investigation, it was learned that Clark had a suspended drivers license and that there was an active arrest warrant held by the 6th ward Morgan City Court. Clark was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Herbert A Smith, 29 years of age, Address: Labau St. Baldwin, La. was arrested on 06/20/2016 @ 12:35am. 

Charge:  Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

     Officers responded to an address on Terrebonne Street in regard to a report of a disturbance. The officers arrived when they located Herbert A Smith standing outside the residence who was later learned to have been involved in the alleged disturbance. Reports indicate that during an investigation, the officers suspected that Smith had been drinking believed Smith was intoxicated. Smith was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Joshua P Roshell, 24 years of age, Address: Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/20/2016 @ 1:48am. 

Charge:  Domestic Abuse Battery

     Officers responded to a local motel on Hwy 182 in regard to a 911 hang up call. The officers arrived when it was learned that there had been a disturbance inside one of the rooms. The officers located two subjects in the area who were believed to have been involved in the reported disturbance one being identied as the victim of a battery and tha other as Joshua P Roshell. During an investigation, the officers were told by the victim and a witness to the incicdent that Roshell had allegedly committed a battery on the victim. Roshell was placed under arrest and transproted to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 06/15/2016.

Heidi Franco, 28 years of age, Address: Cleveland St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 06/15/2016 @ 7:46am. 

Charges:  
Possession of Marijuana
                  Illegal Use of a CDS While in the Presence of Juveniles

     Officers responded to a local motel on Hwy 182 in regard to a call of suspected drug activity inside one of the rooms. The officers arrived and spoke with an Agent with Louisiana Probation and Parole who told the officers that the Agent was conducting an inspection on a client when the odor of marijiuana was detected emitting from the room.  The officers knocked at the door and was greated by Heidi Franco who was inside the room with her juvenile son 4 years of age.  During an investigation a search of the room was conducted when officers located suspected marijuana. The investigation also uncovered evidence that Franco was allegedly using illegal drugs while in the presence of her juvenile son. Franco was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated. 

Karen Strathman, 46 years of age, Address: Magazine St. New Orleans, La. was arrested on 06/15/2016 @ 9:10pm. 

Charge:  Entering or Remaining Where Forbidden

     Officers responded to a residence on North Third Street in regard to a report of a domestic disturbance. When the officers arrived they could hear arguing coming from the residence as they approached. The officers made contact and identified a male subject along with Karen L Strathman inside the residence. During an investigation, officers were told that Strathman had previoulsy been banned from the residence due to a previous incident. According to reports, Strathman was given several opportunities to leave the residence but refused to do so. Strathman was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 06/13/2016.

Tremaine Ruffin Jr., 17 years of age, Address: Wren St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/13/2016 @ 9:23pm. 

Charge:  Warrant - Disturbing the Peace by Fighting

     Tramine Ruffin Jr. was located by officers on Terrebonne Street where Ruffin Jr. was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant was obtained from an investigation conducted by the Morgan City Police Department of an incident on February 24, 2016 where Ruffin Jr. was alleged to be involved in a fight. Ruffin Jr. was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Micah Soileau, 18 years of age, Address: Joey St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 06/13/2016 @ 11:56pm. 

Charge:  Theft

     An officer responded to the lobby of the Morgan City Police Department in regard to a complaint of a theft. The officer arrived and spoke with the complainant who told the officer that Micah Soileau had stolen several items from the complainant's residence on Maple Street. The complainant told the officer that Soileau was at the residence visiting moments earlier when Soileau allegedly stole several items from the residence and left. Officers later located Soileau on Maple Street where according to reports Soileau addmitted to taking the items.  Soileau was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 06/16/2016.

Brent Rock, 26 years of age, Address: Allison St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/17/2016 @ 2:07am.

Dalisha Duke, 22 years of age, Address: Allison St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/17/2016 @ 2:07am. 

Charges:  Domestic Abuse Battery
                  Domestic Abuse Child-Endangerment 

     Officers responded to an address on Allison Street in regard to a reported domestic disturbance. The officers arrived and located two subjects inside the residence identified Brent Rock and Dalisha Duke both showing signs of a battery.  During an investigation, the officers learned that Rock and Duke were involved in an argument at which time they were both alleged to have committed a battery on one another. Reports indicate that the incident had taken place while in the presence of a small child two years of age who was also inside the residence. Both Rock and Duke were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated. 

Carmen L Orgeron, 39 years of age, Address: Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/17/2016 @ 2:45am. 

Charge:  Warrant - Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle

     Carmen L Orgeron was located by officers at a residence on Railroad Avenue where Orgeron was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant was obtained from an investigation conducted by Morgan City Police of an incident reported on May 31, 2016 of an alleged unauthorized use of a vehicle. Orgeron was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 06/14/2016.

Tremaine Ruffin Jr., 17 years of age, Address: Wren St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/14/2016 @ 9:52am.

Charges:  
Burglary (2 counts) 

     Tremaine Ruffin Jr. who was incarcerated in the Morgan City Police Department Jail was booked in on additional charges of two counts of burglary. The Morgan City Police Department conducted an investigation of reported burglaries in Morgan City. According to reports, the investigation uncovered evidence of Ruffin Jr's involvement in the alleged burglaries. Ruffin Jr. was booked and remains incarcerated in the Morgan City Jail. 

Thomas R Cook, 32 years of age, Address: River Rd. Berwick, La. was arrested on 06/14/2016 @ 11:56am. 

Charges:  Possession of Marijuana
                  Possession of Klonopin 

     Officers responded to a local business on Railroad Avenue in regard to a report of an assault. The officers arrived when they located Thomas R Cook who was reportedly a suspected of the alleged assault. Reports indicated that during an investigation, Cook told officers that he had illegal drugs in his possession. Cook was searched when officers located suspected marijuana and klonopin. Cook was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Michael R Schulmeister, 47 years of age, Address: First St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/14/2016 @ 6:09pm. 

Charges:  Warrant - Possession of Methamphetamine
                  Warrant - Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Laws

     Michael R Schumeister was located by narcotics detectives at an address on First Street where Schumeister was arrested on active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant were obtained from an investigation conducted by Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Detectives of an incident on April 14, 2016 where Schumeister was alleged to have been in possession of suspected methamphetamine within the area of a drug free zone. Schumeister was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Rayfield Grant Jr., 30 years of age, Address: Front St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/14/2016 @ 9:50pm. 

Charge:  Disturbing the Peace (Use of Offensive Language)

     Officers responded to an address on Terrebonne Street in regard to a report of a subject yelling profanities. A description of the subject was provided when responding officers located Rayfield Grant Jr. in the area who matched the description provided. The officers spoke with Grant Jr. when according to reports, Grant Jr. continued yelling profanities in front of officers. Grant Jr. was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Milan Sanders, 25 years of age, Address: Matin Luther King Ave. Patterson, La. was arrested on 06/15/2016 @ 12:04am. 

Charges:  Possession of Marijuana
                  Introduction of Contraband Into a Penal Facility

Ricky Willams Jr., 20 years of age, Address: Lloyd Lane Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/15/2016 @ 12:04am. 

Charge:  Possession of Marijuana

     Officers responded to a local restaurant on Hwy 182 in regard to a report of subjects smoking illegal narcotics in the parking lot. The officers arrived when they located Milan Sanders and Ricky Willams Jr. in the parking lot. During an investigation, reports indicate that Sanders and Williams Jr. were found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. Both Sanders and Williams Jr. were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail for booking where a more thorough search was conducted. During this search Sanders was allegedly found to be in possession of more suspected marijuana. Sanders and Williams Jr. were booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 06/11/2016.

Philippian Lewis, 34 years of age, Address: Federal Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/11/2016 @ 2:54am. 

Charges:  Child Desertion

Katelynn S Morgan, 22 years of age, Address: Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/11/2016 @ 3:07am. 

Charges: Disturbing the Peace
                 Possession of Marijuana

     Officers responded to an address on Federal Avenue in regard to a small child being left home alone. The officers arrived and spoke with the complainant who identified himself as the father of the child left alone. The father told the officers that he had gone to the Federal Avenue address to check on the child. When the father didn't recieve an asnwer, he entered the residence where he located his child 2 years of age home alone. During an investigation, the officers identified the mother of the child as Philippian Lewis. Reports indicate that Lewis left the child inside the residence while Lewis went to work in Amelia. Contact was made with Lewis who was summond to the residence and arrived moments later. Officers spoke with Lewis about the incident at which time Lewis was placed under arrest. During the investigation, another individual on scene identified as Katelynn S Morgan began shouting and cursing at the officers. According to reports, Morgan was told by the officers to lower her voice but Morgan ignored the officer's warnings and continued shouting at officers at which time Morgan was placed under arrest. Both Lewis and Morgan were transported to the Morgan City Police Department Jail where after a thorough search, officers located suspected Marijuana on Morgan. Lewis and Morgan were booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated. 

Brennan P Cenac, 27 years of age, Address: Kreamer St. Houma, La. was arrested on 06/11/2016 @ 7:45pm. 

Charge:  Warrant - Domestic Abuse Battery

     Brennan P Cenac was located by Officers at Lake End Park where Cenac was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the 32nd Judicial District Courts. Cenac was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Chance Rose, 40 years of age, Address: East 12th St. Thibodaux, La. was arrested on 06/11/2016 @ 9:39pm.

Charges:  Possession of Schedule IV CDS (Lyrien)
                  Domestic Abuse Battery

     Officers responded to a local motel on Hwy 182 in regard to a call of a disturbance inside one of the rooms. Officers arrived when it was learned that one of the individuals involved in the disturbance had left before officers arrived. A description was provided when officers located Chance Rose who matched the description in the area moments later. During an investigation, the officers spoke with a subject inside the room who showed signs of a battery. The subject later learned to be the victim of a battery told the officers that the victim and Rose were involved in an argument when Rose committed a battery on the victim. Reports indicate that during a search, officers located suspected Lyrien a schedule IV CDS on Rose's person. Rose was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Alonzo J Henry, 21 years of age, Address: Williams St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 06/12/2016 @ 3:09am.

Charges:  Possession of Marijuana
                  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                  Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance

     A patrolling officer observed a suspicios vehicle parked inside Lake End Park. As the officer approached, the vehicle appeared to be occuppied by one individual. An investigational stop was conducted when the officer identified Alonzo J Henry as the occupant of the vehicle. Reports indicate that Henry's behavior aroused the officer's suspicions that Henry may be involved in illegal drug activity. A search of the vehicle was conducted when according to reports the officer located suspected marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a firearm. Henry was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
