Arrest Report 02/26/2014

The following were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 02/25/2014:

Eduardo S. Machado, 37 years of age, Address-Spruce St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/25/2014 @ 4:00pm

Charge: Appearing in Public Intoxicated 

     Eduardo Machado was arrested at a Spruce St. apartment complex after officers received a complaint regarding in intoxicated subject.  Officers located Machado in an intoxicated condition at that location.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

Jessie W. Martinez, 37 years of age, Address-Maple St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/25/2014 @ 11:56pm

Charge: Driving While Intoxicated; Improper Lane Usage; Procedure on Approach of an Emergency Vehicle; Open Container of alcoholic beverage in Moving Vehicle

A patrolling officer observed a vehicle being driven in an erratic manner on Victor II Blvd in Morgan City.  The officer made attempts to stop the vehicle using audible and visual signals but the driver refused to yield and stop to the emergency vehicle.  The driver was eventually stopped and detained.  The driver, Jessie Martinez, according to reports exhibited signs of intoxication and impairment.  There were several open containers of alcoholic beverage in his vehicle.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where ths subject was given a field sobriety test in which he initially did poorly on but refused to continue the test.  He was given an Intoxilyzer 5000 test with results indicating a Blood Alcohol Concentration of .186g%.  He was booked and incarcerated.
