MCPD Arrest Report 10/06/2017

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 36 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 10/05/2017:


Clarence Francois, 50 years of age, Address- Barrow St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/05/2017 @ 10:45 am.

Charge:  Warrant-Failure to Appear

   Clarence Francois was transported from Patterson Police Department to the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant he held for the 6th Ward City Court. Francois was booked and incarcerated.


Kayla M. Francise, 19 years of age, Address- Keith St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/05/2017 @ 4:20 pm.

Charge- Warrant- Contempt of Court

   Kayla Francise was placed under arrest in the City Court of Morgan City. Francise was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Tommy D. Morgan, 28 years of age, Address- Bellanger St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/05/2017 @ 4:05 pm.

Charge:  Warrant- Falsification of Drug Test
                Warrant-Failure to Appear for Restitution
                Warrant- Probation Violation
   Tommy Morgan was placed under arrest in the City Court of Morgan City for an active warrant he held for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems from an incident in September of 2017, which alleges that Morgan attempted to falsify a drug test. Morgan also held active warrants for the 6th Ward City Court. Morgan was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Franklin D. Pearce III, 32 years of age, Address- River Rd. Berwick, La. was arrested on
10/05/2017 @ 5:19 pm.


Charge:  Warrant- Simple Burglary

                 Warrant- Accessory after the Fact

                 Warrant- Possession of Stolen Things

   Franklin Pearce was located at Duke St. residence and placed under arrest for an active warrant he held for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems from an investigation of a burglary of a local business in September of 2017, in which Pearce is alleged to have stolen items from the business.  Pearce was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Patricia Savoie, 46 years of age, Address-Fourth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/05/2017 @ 9:21 pm.

Charge: Warrant- Telephone Harassment


     Officers located Patricia Savoie on Victor II Blvd, a warrant check was done and it was determined that she held an active warrant for the Morgan City Police Department. Savoie was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Julio C. Perez, 35 years of age, Address- Lenny’s Lane Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/06/2017 @ 12:08 am.

Charge:  Driving While Intoxicated
                 No Driver’s License
                  Improper Lane Usage

   An officer in the area of Hwy 182 near Pecos St., observed a vehicle swerving in the roadway. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Julio Perez was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. According to reports, Perez appeared intoxicated.  Perez was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test, in which he performed poorly. Perez was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the police department, Perez was asked to submit to the chemical test for intoxication. Perez’s results yielded  .110 g% blood alcohol content. Perez was booked and incarcerated.


Trey D. Elliott, 27 years of age, Address- Benton, La. was arrested on 10/06/2017 @ 2:06 am.

Charge:  Driving While Intoxicated 2nd Offense
                 Possession of Alcoholic Beverage in Motor Vehicle
                 Improper Lane Usage

     A patrol officer in the area of Hwy 182 near Roderick St. observed a vehicle cross the center line of the roadway several times. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Trey Elliot. Reports indicate that Elliot appeared intoxicated. Elliot was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test, which he refused. Elliot was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the police department, he was asked to submit to the chemical test for intoxication, Elliot refused. Elliot was then booked and incarcerated.
