MCPD Arrest Report 10/16/2017

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 72-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 91 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 10/13/2017:

Tyeisha Barnes, 23 years of age, address: Terrebonne St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/13/2017 @ 12:20 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Fine 09/12/2017

Tyeisha Barnes was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Barnes was booked into the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

John Jones, 35 years of age, address: Egle Mill Ln. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/13/2017 @ 2:54 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: Failure to Return Leased Merchandise

John Jones was located and arrested in the area of Bush St. on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers in November of 2016 when Jones allegedly failed to return leased merchandise to a local business in the area of Seventh St. valued at $2,495.46. Warrants were prepared for Jones’ arrest. Jones was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Jerry Charles Jr., 51 years of age, address: Mike Dr. Patterson, La., arrested on 10/13/2017 @ 10:58 p.m.

Charges: Driving while Intoxicated 1st Offense
                 Possession of Marijuana
                 Careless Operation of a Motor Vehicle

Patrol officers responded to the area of Federal Ave. in regards to a single vehicle crash. Officers arrived and they located a vehicle that had struck a light pole. According to reports, Jerry Charles Jr. was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Charles was found to be in an intoxicated state. Charles performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Charles was also found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana. Evidence was obtained during the investigation that Charles had operated his vehicle in a careless manner which resulted in the crash. Charles was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Testing. Charles submitted to Chemical Testing which resulted in .079g% blood alcohol content. Charles was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Milton Hernandez, 34 years of age, address: Federal Ave. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/14/2017 @ 2:30 a.m.

Charges: Driving while Intoxicated 1st Offense
                 No Driver’s License
                 Improper Lane Usage
                 Expired Inspection 02/2017
                 Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Fine on 03/21/2017

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of LA 182 swerving from lane to lane. A stop was initiated and Milton Hernandez was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Hernandez was found to be in an intoxicated state. Hernandez performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Hernandez was also found not to possess a valid Louisiana Driver’s License and the inspection on the vehicle he was operating had expired in February of 2017. Hernandez was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Testing. Upon arrival to the Morgan City Jail Hernandez submitted to Chemical Testing which resulted in .275g% blood alcohol content. Hernandez was also found to hold an active arrest warrant through the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Hernandez was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Wallace Willaims 10142017


Wallace Williams, 47 years of age, address: Hwy 70 Pierre Part, La., arrested on 10/14/2017 @ 3:36 a.m.

Charges: Possession of SCH II CDS (Hydrocodone)
                 Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Fine on 06/28/2017

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of LA 70 swerving from lane to lane. A stop was initiated and Wallace Williams was identified as an occupant in the vehicle. According to reports, Williams was found to be in possession of suspected Hydrocodone. Williams was unable to produce a valid prescription. Williams was also found to hold an active arrest warrant through the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Williams was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Vernon J. Robinson Jr., 31 years of age, address: Chennault St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/14/2017 @ 5:08 p.m.

Charges: Driving under Suspension
                 Open Container in a Motor Vehicle
                 Improper Turning
                 Warrant: F.T.A. for Arraignment on 07/13/2017

Patrol officers observed a vehicle negotiate an improper turn in the area Fifth St. A stop was initiated and Vernon J. Robinson Jr. was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Robinson’s Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. Robinson was also found to be in possession of an alcoholic beverage in the motor vehicle. Robinson also held an active arrest warrant through the 16th Judicial Court. Robinson was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Lee M. Boudreaux, 42 years of age, address: N. Verrett St. Amelia, La., arrested on 10/14/2017 @ 5:25 p.m.

Charges: Improper Equipment
                 Expired Inspection
                 Resisting an Officer
                 Battery on an Officer
                 Warrant: Failure to Comply with Terms of Drug Court (2 Counts)
                 Warrant: F.T.A. for Imposition Hearing on 09/06/2017

Patrol officers observed Lee M. Boudreaux operating a vehicle in the area of Federal Ave. The officer had knowledge that Boudreaux held active arrest warrants through the 16th Judicial Court. According to reports, a stop was initiated and the vehicle Boudreaux was operating was found to have improper equipment and an expired inspection sticker. Boudreaux was placed under arrest at which time Boudreaux pushed the officer. After a short struggle, Boudreaux was secured. Boudreaux was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Huntar St. Germain, 17 years of age, address: Shady Grove Patterson, La., arrested on 10/15/2017 @ 12:33 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: Domestic Battery Abuse
                 Warrant: Criminal Damage to Property

Huntar St. Germain was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police.  The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on July 30, 2017, when they responded to the area of Bowman St. in regards to a damage to property complaint. According to reports, St. Germain allegedly had broken a television belonging to the victim. St. Germain also allegedly struck the victim during the altercation. Warrants were prepared to St. Germain’s arrest. St. Germain was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Gonzalo Sanchez-Lara, 38 years of age, address: Shady Grove Patterson, La., arrested on 10/15/2017 @ 4:00 p.m.

Charges: No Driver’s License
                 Careless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
                 Improper Equipment
                 Canceled License Plate

Patrol officers responded to the area of US 90 in regards to a vehicle crash. Upon arrival Gonzalo Sanchez-Lara was identified as the operator of one of the vehicles involved. Evidence was uncovered that Sanchez-Lara operated the vehicle in a careless manner and that the vehicle was not equipped with the proper equipment as required by Louisiana Law. It was also learned that Sanchez-Lara did not possess a valid Louisiana Driver’s License. Sanchez-Lara was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Burkin Dupre, 31 years of age, address: Fifth St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/15/2017 @ 5:02 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Probation Fee on 05/02/2017

Burkin Dupre was located and arrested in the area of Fifth St. on an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Dupre was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Kayla M. Fryou, 25 years of age, address: General Hodges Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/15/2017 @ 7:24 p.m.

Charges: Driving under Suspension
                 No Insurance

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of LA 182 with a improper lighting. A stop was initiated and Kayla M. Fryou was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, the vehicle Fryou was operating was found not to possess valid insurance as required by Louisiana Law and her Louisiana driver’s license was under suspension. Fryou was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Amanda Lake, 35 years of age, address: Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/15/2017 @ 10:26 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Trial on 09/11/2017

Amanda Lake was located and arrested in the area of Brashear Ave. on an active arrest warrant held by the 16th Judicial Court. Lake was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Tmyra Francis 10162017

Tmyra E. Francis, 27 years of age, address: Ledoux Circle Patterson, La., arrested on 10/16/2017 @ 8:33 a.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana
                 Possession of a Legend Drug (Risperidone)
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 No Driver’s License
                 Switched License Plate
                 Expired License Plate

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of LA 182 and the license plate displayed was expired. A stop was initiated and Tmyra E. Francis was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Francis was found not to possess a valid Louisiana Driver’s License; the vehicle she was driving was found not to have valid insurance as required by Louisiana Law and the license plate that was displayed was registered to another vehicle. Reports indicated that officers detected an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A search was conducted by the Morgan City Police Department K-9 Division with K-9 Lady who indicated to the presence of narcotic odor. Francis was found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia, and Resperidone. Francis was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
