MCPD Arrest Report 12/12/2017

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 45 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 12/11/2017:


Alexis L. Robertson, 33 years of age, Address- Eleventh St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/11/2017 @ 2:40 pm.

Charge:  Warrant- Theft of Under $1000.00
                Warrant- Fugitive State of Texas

   Alexis Robertson was located in the area of Martin Luther King Blvd. A warrant check revealed that Robertson held an active warrant for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems from an incident in June of 2017, in which Robertson is alleged to have taken items from a local business without paying. Also, Robertson held an active warrant for the State of Texas for parole violation.  Robertson was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Chance J. Boudreaux, 23 years of age, Address-Railroad St Patterson, La. was arrested on 12/11/2017 3:09 pm.

   Charge:  Warrant-Failure to Pay Fines

   Chance Boudreaux was transported from the Patterson Police Department to the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant he held for the 6th Ward City Court. Boudreaux was booked and incarcerated.


Leonard A. Yarborough, 56 years of age, Address- Egle St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/11/2017 @ 11:00 pm.

Charge:  Driving While Intoxicated 2nd Offense
               No Driver’s License
               No Turn Signal

   A patrol officer in the area of Federal Ave and Onstead St. observed a vehicle fail to use its turn signal while turning on to Federal Ave.  A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Leonard Yarborough was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. It was determined that Yarborough did not have a valid license. According to reports, Yarborough appeared intoxicated. Yarborough was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test, in which he performed poorly. Yarborough was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the police department, Yarborough submitted to the chemical test for intoxication and his results were .187 g% of blood alcohol content. Yarborough was booked and incarcerated.
