MCPD Arrest Report 12/19/2017
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 31 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 12/18/2017:
Seth Martin, 26 years of age, address: Cedar St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 12/18/2017 @ 8:30 a.m.
Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Fine 06/13/2017
Seth Martin was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Martin was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Tyrin T. Watts, 23 years of age, address: Mill Rd. Patterson, La., arrested on 12/18/2017 @ 2:34 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Arraignment on 09/03/2014
Tyrin T. Watts was located and arrested in the area of Railroad Ave. on an active arrest warrant held the 16th Judicial Court. Watts was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Gabriel Ivan Garcia-Guerrero, 26 years of age, address: Lafiton Ln. Port Allen, La. arrested on 12/18/2017 @ 4:57 p.m.
Charges: Unlawful Production of Fraudulent Documents

Use of Certain Wireless Telecommunication Devices
Patrol officers responded to the area of LA 182 in regards to a vehicle crash. According to reports, officers arrived and Gabriel Ivan Garcia-Guerrero was identified as one of the operators of a vehicle that was involved. Garcia-Guerrero produced documents during the identification process of the investigation that was found to be fraudulent. Allegedly the vehicle that Garcia-Guerrero was operating did not have proper registration and evidence was uncovered that he was following another vehicle too closely and was texting on his phone just prior to the crash. It was also learned that Garcia-Guerrero did not possess a valid Louisiana Driver’s License. Garcia-Guerrero was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Morales Cruz-Navarro, 37 years of age, address: Park Rd. Morgan City, La., arrested on 12/19/2017 @ 7:26 a.m.
Charges: No Driver’s License
Improper Turning
Patrol officers observed a vehicle negotiate an improper turn in the area of Federal Ave. A stop was initiated and Morales Cruz-Navarro was identified as the operator of the vehicle. It was found that Cruz-Navarro did not possess a valid Louisiana Driver’s License. Cruz-Navarro was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
