MCPD Arrest Report 12/21/2017
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 33 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 12/20/2017:
Scott R. Barr, 35 years of age, address: State Hwy 71 Bay City, TX., arrested on 12/20/2017 @ 3:01 a.m.
Charges: Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense
Improper Lane Usage
Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Brashear Ave. in an erratic manner swerving from lane to lane. A stop was initiated and Scott R. Barr was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Barr was found to be in an intoxicated state. Barr performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Barr was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Testing which he submitted to registering .107g% blood alcohol content. Barr was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Ronda K. Baines, 50 years of age, address: Hwy 182 Morgan City, La., arrested on 12/20/2017 @ 3:41 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Probation Fee on 04/01/2017
Ronda K. Baines was located and arrested in the area of Front St. on an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Baines was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
Mia Amador, 35 years of age, address: Marshall St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 12/20/2017 @ 4:06 p.m.
Charges: Theft under $1,000
Patrol officers responded to a local business in the area of LA 182 in regards to a theft. Officers arrived and according to reports, Mia Amador was identified as the suspect involved. Amador allegedly admitted to taking $92.35 from the business. Amador was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
