MCPD Arrest Report 04/04/2018

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 46 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 04/03/2018: 

Fredrick D. Guzzetta, 20 years of age, address: Washington St. Napoleonville, La., arrested on 04/03/2018 @ 7:03 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Arraignment on 09/08/2017

Fredrick D. Guzzetta was located and arrested in the area of LA 70 on an active arrest warrant held by the 16th Judicial Court. Guzzetta was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Gilbert C. Howard, 48 years of age, address: Youngs Rd. Morgan City, La., arrested on 04/03/2018 @ 11:11 p.m.

Charges: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

Patrol officers responded to the area of Fourth St. in regards to a suspicious subject. Officers arrived and Gilbert C. Howard was identified. According to reports, Howard was found to be in an intoxicated state. Howard was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Timothy S. Crum, 39 years of age, address: Hwy 663 Morgan City, La., arrested on  04/04/2018 @ 12:58 a.m.

Charges: Driving under Suspension
                 Failure to use Restraints

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Federal Ave. and the operator was not properly restrained. A stop was initiated and Timothy S. Crum was identified. According to reports, Crum’s Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. Crum was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Krystal N. Tolento, 30 years of age, address: Second St. Berwick, La., arrested on 04/04/2018 @ 1:26 a.m.

Charges: Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense
                 Obstruction of Public Passages
                 Simple Assault
                 No Driver’s License
                 Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle

Patrol officers observed a vehicle in the area of LA 182 blocking the roadway. The vehicle was observed by the officer when it proceeded on LA 182 swerving from lane to lane in a reckless manner in front of another vehicle in the area. The vehicle then stopped abruptly causing a crash. A stop was initiated on the vehicle when it as learned that these actions were connected to a disturbance that had occurred in the area of Glenwood St. Krystal N. Tolento was identified as the operator of the vehicle that was being operated in an erratic manner. According to reports, Tolento exited her vehicle, approaching the victims' vehicle and began punching the window. Tolento was found to be in an intoxicated state. Tolento performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Tolento was also found not to possess a valid Louisiana Driver’s License. Tolento was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Testing which she submitted to registering .169g% blood alcohol content. Tolento was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
