MCPD Arrest Report 04/24/2018
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 34 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 04/23/2018:
Victor J. Billiot, 29 years of age, address: Shady Grove Patterson, La., arrested on 04/23/2018 @ 11:54 a.m.
Charges: Simple Burglary

Dustin Aucoin, 26 years of age, address: Main St. Patterson, La., arrested on 04/23/2018 @ 11:54 a.m.

Patrol officers observed three subjects at walking around a residence in the area of Front St. acting in a suspicious manner. The officer made contact with the subjects who were identified as Victor J. Billiot, Dustin P. Fitch, and Dustin Aucoin. Contact was made with the homeowner who stated that the subjects were not authorized to be upon the property. It was learned through the investigation that the subjects were attempting to take several items estimated to be valued over $1,200 out of a shed on the property. The subjects were also found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana. The trio was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.
Ricky J. Hayes, 53 years of age, address: Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La., arrested on 04/23/2018 @ 4:56 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Fine on 03/06/2018 (2 counts)
Warrant: Probation Violation
Resisting an Officer
Ricky J. Hayes was located and arrested in the area of Railroad Ave. on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. According to reports, when the officer made contact with Hayes he fled into the residence. Hayes was apprehended a short time later and taken into custody. Hayes was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Sean A. Christmas, 38 years of age, address: Bayou Blue Bypass Gray, La., arrested on 04/24/2018 @ 1:49 a.m.
Charges: Driving under Suspension
Improper Lane Usage
No Insurance
Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of LA 182 in an erratic manner. A stop was initiated when Sean A. Christmas was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Christmas’ Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension and the vehicle he was operating did not have proper insurance as required by Louisiana Law. Christmas was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
