MCPD Arrest Report 04/25/2018

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 48 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 04/24/2018:

Gilbert Howard 04252018

Gilbert C. Howard, 48 years of age, address: Youngs Rd. Morgan City, La., arrested on 04/24/2018 @ 10:11 a.m.

Charges: Warrant:Theft under $1,000

Gilbert C. Howard was located and arrested in the area of Spruce St. on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on April 13, 2018, when officers responded to a local establishment in the area of LA 182 when Howard allegedly took items from the store without paying for them. The investigation continued and warrants were prepared for Howard’s arrest. Howard was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Anthony J. Harris, 22 years of age, address: Arizona St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 04/24/2018 @ 11:31 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Drug Court (2 Counts)
                 Possession of Marijuana 2nd Offense

Anthony J. Harris was located and arrested in the area of Seventh St. on active arrest warrants held by the 16th Judicial Court. When Harris was taken into custody he was found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana. Harris was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Brian Robertson, 23 years of age, address: Sixth St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 04/24/2018 @ 10:35 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Arraignment on 01/03/2018

Brian Robertson was located and arrested in the area of LA 70 on active arrest warrants held by the 16th Judicial Court. Robertson was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Ernest N. Mingo, 34 years of age, address: Federal Ave. Morgan City, La., arrested on 04/25/2018 @ 3:13 a.m.

Charges: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
                 Warrant: F.T.A. for Arraignment on 04/23/2015

Patrol officers encountered Ernest N. Mingo walking in the area of Everett St. Mingo was found to be in an intoxicated state. Mingo was found to hold an active arrest warrant through the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Mingo was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
