MCPD Detectives Make Arrest on Molestation of a Juvenile Charges
Miguel Diaz, 52 years of age, address: Terrebonne St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 04/30/2018 @ 9:36 a.m.
Charges: Warrant: Molestation of a Juvenile
On March 29, 2018, investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Detectives Division began an investigation in regards to a molestation of a juvenile. During the course of the investigation, Miguel Diaz was developed as a suspect. Evidence was uncovered during the investigation that Diaz molested a young victim. The investigation continued when warrants were prepared for Diaz's arrest. Information was obtained on Saturday, April 28, 2018, that Diaz was located in the Scott, LA area. With the assistance of the Scott Police Department Diaz was located and arrested on the arrest warrant. Diaz was transported from the Lafayette Parish Detention Center to the Morgan City Jail. Diaz, who is also an undocumented individual, is awaiting detainers from Immigration Criminal Enforcement (ICE). Diaz was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
