MCPD Arrest Report 06/27/2018
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 24 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 06/26/2018:
Kristen M. Romero, 32 years of age, address: Jennifer St. New Iberia, La., arrested on 06/26/2018 @ 12:58 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Probation Fee on 05/02/2018
Kristen M. Romero was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Romero was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Orestes Lopez, 26 years of age, address: Hwy 182 Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/26/2018 @ 10:22 p.m.
Charges: No Driver’s License
Improper Lighting
Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of LA 182 with the high beams activated while approaching other vehicles. A stop was initiated when Orestes Lopez was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Lopez was found not to possess a valid Louisiana Driver’s License. Lopez was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
