MCPD Arrest Report 07/30/2018
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 72-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 130 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 07/27/2018:
Dmarcus Holly, 22 years of age, Address- Friendship Ally, Amelia, La. was arrested on 07/27/2018 @ 7:47 am.
Charge: Driving Under Suspension
A patrol officer in the area of Seventh St. observed a driver of a vehicle not wearing a seat belt. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Dmarcus Holly was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A computer check revealed that Holly’s driver’s license was suspended. Holly was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
DeMarcus S. Roy, 25 years of age, Address-Mallard St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/27/2018 @ 9:20 am.
Charge: Warrant-Failure to Pay Fine
Warrant- Failure to Pay Probation Fees
DeMarcus Roy was transported from the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center to the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants he held for the 6th Ward City Court. Roy was booked and incarcerated.
John F. Sanford, 49 years of age, Address-Fourth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/27/2018 @ 5:00 pm.
Charge: Warrant-Failure to Pay Probation Fees

John Sanford was located at a residence on Spruce St. and placed under arrest for active warrants he held for the 6th Ward City Court. Sanford was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Erica Boudreaux, 30 years of age, Address- Grizsaffi St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/27/2018 @ 5:21 pm.
Charge: Disturbing the Peace Offensive Language
Officers responded to a residence on Roderick St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and were told by witnesses that Erica Boudreaux had been yelling and using profanities and had been asked to leave the area several times. Officer located Boudreaux in the area and placed her under arrest. Boudreaux transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Caleb A. Guerrero, 27 years of age, Address- South Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/27/2018 @ 11:40 am.
Charge: Criminal Trespass
Driving Under Suspension
Officers responded to a residence on Sixth St. in regards to an individual trespassing. According to reports, the victim stated that Caleb Guerrero had come onto the property without permission, wanting to cause a disturbance. Officers located Guerrero and reports indicate that he admitted to driving to the residence and going onto the property. A computer check revealed that Guerrero license was under suspension. Guerrero was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Letoria Grogan, 29 years of age, Address- St. Claire St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/28/2018 @ 3:22 am.
Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear for Sentencing (2cts)
Warrant- Probation Violation
Letoria Grogan was located in the area of LA Hwy 70 and it was determined that she held active warrants for the 6th Ward City Court. Grogan was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Corie J. Wriborg, 28 years of age, Address- Bayou Black Dr. Gibson, La. was arrested on 07/28/2018 @ 4:10 pm.
Charge: Use of Certain Wireless Telecommunications
Possession of Marijuana
Possession of a Legend Drug- Topiramate
An officer patrolling the area of LA Hwy 182 near Martin Luther King Blvd. observed a driver of a vehicle texting while driving. A traffic stop was conducted and Corie Wriborg was identified as the driver. According to reports, the officer could smell an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Wriborg gave the officer consent to search the vehicle. Located in the vehicle were suspected marijuana and a pill identified as Topiramate. Wriborg was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Luis A. Zuniga-Balderas, 29 years of age, Address- Laurel St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/28/2018 @ 6:55 pm.
Charge: Resisting an Officer- False Information
No Turn Signal
No Driver’s License
An officer in the area of Railroad Ave and Headland St. observed a vehicle turn onto Headland St. without using a turn signal. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. Reports indicate that the driver gave the officer a license that the picture did not match his appearance. The driver was later identified as Luis Zuniga-Balderas and he did not possess a valid driver’s license. Zuniga-Balderas was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Alyssa Acosta, 26 years of age, Address- Eighth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/26/2018 @ 3:46 pm.
Charge: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
Officers responded to Allison St. in regards to an individual that appears to be under the influence of an illegal substance walking in the area. The individual was located on Allison St. and identified as Alyssa Acosta. Reports indicate that Acosta did appear intoxicated. Acosta was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Edward J. Trimm Jr, 43 years of age, Address- Ciro St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/30/2018 @ 12:45 am.
Charge: Warrant- Theft under $1000.00
Edward Trimm was located in the area of LA Hwy 182 and it was determined that he held an active warrant for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems from an incident in April of 2006, which alleges that Trimm committed a theft of $ 100.00. Trimm was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
