MCPD Arrest Report 09/06/2018

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 47 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 09/05/2018:

Rena K. Wilson, 39 years of age, Address- Snead St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 09/05/2018 @ 12:00 am.

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Pay Fines (2cts)

   Rena Wilson was transported from the Patterson Police Department to the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants she held for the 6th Ward City Court. Wilson was booked and incarcerated.

Frederick D. Oliney, 44 years of age, Address- Cypress St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/05/2018 @ 7:43 pm.

Charge: Driving Under Suspension
               License Plate Improper Display
               No Insurance

   An officer patrolling the area of LA Hwy 182 and Aycock St. observed a vehicle with an object obstructing the view of the license plate. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Fredrick Oliney was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A computer check revealed that Oliney’s license was suspended and the vehicle was not insured. Oliney was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Samuel P. Gary, 27 years of age, Address- Egle St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/05/2018 @ 8:23 pm.

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Pay Probation Fees

   Samuel Gary was placed under arrest at the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant he held for the 6th Ward City Court. Gary was booked and incarcerated.

Lara S. McPherson, 29 years of age, Address- Ernies Lane Franklin, La. was arrested on 09/05/2018 @ 10:55 pm.

Charge: Disturbing the Peace

Dennis D. Johnson, 21 years of age, Address- Ernies Lane Franklin, La. was arrested on 09/05/2018 @ 10:55 pm.

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear (Speeding)
               Warrant-Failure to Appear (Speeding, No Driver’s License)
               Warrant-Failure to Appear (Speeding, Driving Under Suspension)

   Officers responded to Catherine St. in regards to a disturbance. When officers arrived, contact was made with Lara McPherson. Reports indicate that McPherson stated that she and her boyfriend, Dennis Johnson were having a verbal altercation. While talking to officers, McPherson continued to yell at Johnson. McPherson was told to calm down several times but refused. McPherson was placed under arrest. A warrant check on Johnson revealed that he held active warrants for the LaFourche Parish Sheriff’s Office, Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Thibodeaux Police Department. Johnson was placed under arrest and he and McPherson were transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Blake M. Dinger, 25 years of age, Address- Neptune St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/06/2018 @ 1:07 am.

Charge: Warrant- Probation Violation

   Blake Dinger was transported from the Berwick Police Department to the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant he held for the 6th Ward City Court. Dinger was booked and incarcerated.

Patrick Gaudet 09062018

Patrick G. Gaudet, 57 years of age, Address-Bush St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/06/2018 @ 4:00 am.


Charge: Possession of Marijuana
               Possession of Sch II CDS- Vyvanse
               Possession of Sch II CDS- Hydrocodone
               Possession of Sch II CDS- Diazepam
               Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

   Officers responded to a local motel on Brasher Ave. in regards to possible illegal drug activity. According to reports, officers could smell a strong odor of marijuana emitting from one of the rooms. Contact was made with the occupant of the room, Patrick Gaudet. During the course of the investigation, Gaudet gave officers consent to search the room. Officers located suspected marijuana, pills identified as vyvanse, hydrocodone, and diazepam for which Gaudet did not have a prescription. Drug paraphernalia was also located inside the room.  Gaudet was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
