MCPD Arrest Report 09/26/2018
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 55 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 09/25/2018:
John R. Anslum, 30 years of age, Address- Labadieville, La. was arrested on 09/25/2018 @ 5:06 pm.
Charge: Possession of Sch II CDS- Adderall
Warrant-Probation Violation
Warrant-Failure to Pay Probation Fees
John Anslum was transported from the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center to the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants he held for the department and the 6th Ward City Court. Anslum was booked and incarcerated.
Leonard A. Yarborough, 56 years of age, Address- Egle St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/25/2018 @ 7:49 pm.
Charge: Warrant-Failure to Pay Fines (2cts)
Leonard Yarborough was located on Egle St. and placed under arrest for active warrants he held for the 6th Ward City Court. Yarborough was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Christopher A. Reyes, 19 years of age, Address- Brentwood, NY was arrested on 09/25/2018 @ 9:09 pm.
Charge: Possession of Marijuana
Officers responded to Allison St. in regards to illegal drug activity in the area. Officers came into contact with an individual identified as Christopher Reyes. Reyes was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. Reyes was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Cadja J. Ruffin, 24 years of age, Address-Cherry St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/25/2018 @ 11:55 pm.
Charge: Possession of Marijuana
Expired License Plate
Proper Equipment Required on Vehicle
An officer in the area of East Blvd. observed a vehicle with an expired license plate. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Cadja Ruffin was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. During the course of the investigation, Ruffin was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. Ruffin was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
