MCPD Arrest Report 09/28/2018
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 51 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 09/27/2018:
Clarence T. Sheets Jr, 47 years of age, Address-Texas St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 09/27/2018 @ 12:27 pm.
Charge: Criminal Trespass
Officers responded to a residence on Wytchwood Dr. for an individual trespassing on the property.
Officers arrived and made contact with the property owner, who stated that an individual identified as Clarence Sheets was on the property without permission. Officers located Sheets and reports indicate he admitted to being on the property. Sheets was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Atlas J. White, 26 years of age, Address- Oil Tank Ally Morgan City, La was arrested on 09/27/2018 @ 12:48 pm.
Charge: Warrant-Criminal Neglect of Family
Warrant- Domestic Abuse Battery-Strangulation
Warrant- Domestic Abuse Aggravated Assault
Warrant- Domestic Abuse Battery-Pregnant
Warrant- Aggravated Battery
Resisting an Officer
Atlas White was located at his residence on Oil Tank Ally. While trying to place White under arrest for active warrants he held for the Morgan City Police Department and the 16th Judicial District Court, he fled from officers but was apprehended a short time later. The warrants stem from an incident on September 26 where it is alleged that White committed a battery on the victim, who was also pregnant. White was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Nicole Hampton, 31 years of age, Address-Southeast Blvd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/27/2018 @ 3:54 pm.
Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear- Criminal Neglect of Family
Nicole Hampton was placed under arrest in the City Court of Morgan City for an active warrant she held for the 16th Judicial District Court. Hampton was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Timothy S. Crum, 39 years of age, Address-Hwy 663 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/27/2018 @ 5:09 pm.
Charge: Warrant-Failure to Pay Fines (3cts)

Possession of Marijuana
Timothy S. Crum was located in the area of Onstead St. near Federal Ave. and placed under arrest for active warrants he held for the 6th Ward City Court. Officers also located suspected marijuana in his possession. Crum was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
