MCPD Arrest Report 01/02/2019
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 48-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 118 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 12/28/2018:
April L. Aucoin, 38 years of age, Address- Cremo Lane Patterson, La. was arrested on 12/31/2018 @ 10:40 am.
Charge: Failure to Appear for Trial
April Aucoin was located LA Hwy 182 and placed under arrest for an active warrant she held for the 16th Judicial District Court. Aucoin was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Daniel L. Griffin, 42 years of age, Address-Versen St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 12/31/2018 @ 7:49 pm.
Charge: Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling
Criminal Trespass
Resisting an Officer
Officers responded to a residence on Sixth St in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and spoke to the victim who alleges that Daniel Griffin entered the home without permission and caused a disturbance. A description of Griffin was given to officers and he was located on Kentucky St. As officers approached Griffin, he fled on foot. Griffin was apprehended a short time later and placed under arrest. Griffin was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Jarred M. Knight, 33 years of age, Address-Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/31/2018 @ 5:47 pm.
Charge: Criminal Trespass
Officers responded to a business on Clothide St. in regards to an individual not allowed on the property. When officers arrived, Jarred Knight was identified as being barred from the property. Officers located Knight and placed him under arrest and transported him to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
James A. Verret, 51 years of age, Address-Jerral St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 12/31/2018 @ 4:06 pm.
Charge: General Speed Law
Driving Under Suspension
An officer on Park Rd. observed a vehicle traveling faster than the posted speed limit. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, James Verret was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A computer check revealed that Verret’s license was under suspension. Verret was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Stephanie Courtney, 30 years of age, Address-S. Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/01/2019 @ 12:38 pm.
Charge: Warrant-Contempt of Court
Stephanie Courtney was located at her residence on S. Railroad Ave. and placed under arrest for an active warrant she held for the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office. Courtney was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
