Morgan City Police Narcotics Investigation

Morgan City Police Department Narcotic Detectives conducted an investigation with the assistance with the U.S. Postal Service leads to a search warrant of a North Prescott residence. Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department received information of illegal narcotics being delivered via U.S. Mail Service to a Morgan City address. Narcotic Detectives and U.S. Postal Inspector utilized a narcotics K-9 to confirm the information. Morgan City Narcotics conducted a search warrant of the residence and recovered the illegal package which was found to contain suspected marijuana valued at approximately $4,000.00. Information was obtained that the drugs were destined for sales in the Morgan City area.  During the search warrant, Gregory Cardenaz was identified as a suspect. Gregory Cardenaz was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. Charge: Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute
              Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 
              Violation of Uniform CDS Laws.
