Arrest Report 05/20/2014

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 05/19/2014:

 

 

Carlos Ruiz-Santos, 38 years of age, Fifth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/18/2014 @ 6:58pm

Charge: Simple Battery

Officers responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a Fifth St. residence.  After arrival, they located a victim who advised that he was stuck by another subject, Carlos Ruiz-Santos.  The victim, who had physical injuries from the altercation did not require medical treatment.  Santos was located at the scene and placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Kristen J. Coleman, 26 years of age, Address-First St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/19/2014 @ 8:47am

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Appear-Careless Operation with an Accident; Child Passenger Restraint Violation; Seat Belt Violation

A patrolling officer observed an operator of a vehicle traveling on Highway 182 without utilizing a seatbelt.  The officer stopped the vehicle to speak with the driver and discovered that the vehicle also contained a small child who was not properly restrained in a child restrain system.  The officer identified the driver, Kristen Coleman and learned that she had an outstanding warrant for the Morgan City Police Department.  Coleman was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Trevor J. Alcina, 23 years of age, Address-Chennault St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/19/2014 @ 11:27am

Charge: Bank Fraud; Forgery

A complaint was filed with an officer with the Morgan City Police Department regarding a forgery.  Investigators learned that Trevor Alcina had forged the complainants name to three personal checks and had cashed the checks receiving approximately $700.00  Officers located Alcina at his Chennault St. residence where he was detained for questioning.  The subject, Trevor Alcina, who admitted to the forgery was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Deshawn Moore, 18 years of age, Address-Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/19/2014 @ 12:49 pm

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Appear-Possession of Marijuana

A patrolling officer observed a speeding vehicle in the area of Highway 182 and Aycock St. and stopped the vehicle for investigation.  It was learned that an occupant of the vehicle, Deshawn Moore was wanted on an outstanding warrant for the Morgan City Police Department.  Moore was detained, placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Brandon D. Poole, 27 years of age, Address-Little Flower Lane Bayou Vista, La. was arrested on 05/19/2014 @ 5:41pm

Charge: Simple Battery(Domestic); Criminal Damage to Property

Dametra Boatman, 29 years of age, Address-Mallard St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/19/2014 @ 5:41pm

Charge: Aggravated Battery-(Domestic)

Officers were dispatched to a Mallard St. residence in Brownell Homes regarding a domestic disturbance. Officers arrived and learned that Dametra Boatmon and a male subject, Brandon Poole had been involved in domestic altercation which turned physical.  During the disturbance, Brandon Poole was accused of commiting a battery on Boatmon and destroying personal property belonging to Boatmon.  Dametra Boatmon, during the altercation was accused of arming herself with a fork and stabbing Poole in the arm area causing minor injuries.  Both subjects were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

 

Leonard Yarborough, 52 years of age, Address-Fourth St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 05/19/2014 @ 7:47pm

Charge: Appearing in Public Intoxicated

Officers were dispatched to the area of the Highway 182 Bridge in regards to an intoxicated subject.  Officers arrived and found Leonard Yarborough in an impaired condition on the bridge.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
