MCPD Arrest Report 12/5/2019
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 44-calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 12/4/2019:
Blake Michael Dinger, 26 years of age, Address-Aycock St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 12/4/2019 @ 07:35 A.M.
Warrant: Contempt of Court
Blake Michael Dinger was located at the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center and was placed under arrest on an active warrant held by the City Court of Morgan City. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Kytrell Grogan, 18 years of age, Address-Terrebonne St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 12/4/2019 @ 10:28 A.M.
Charge: Hit and Run
No Insurance
Officers were called to the parking lot of a local business on Highway 182 to investigate a vehicle crash. When officers arrived, they learned one of the vehicles involved in the crash fled the scene. Officers were able to locate the vehicle and identify the driver as Kytrell Groganon on Roderick St. During the investigation, a computer check revealed the vehicle Grogan was driving was uninsured. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Joseph Guillory Soto, 33 years of age, Address- Sixth St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 12/4/2019 @ 3:27 P.M.
Warrants: Failure to Appear (13 counts)
An officer on patrol came into contact with Joseph Soto on Highway 182. A warrants check revealed the City Court of Morgan City held 13 active warrants for his arrest. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Chance Joseph Boudreaux, 25 years of age, Address-Railroad Ave., Patterson, La., was arrested on 12/4/2019 @ 7:00 P.M.
Warrant: Possession an Illegally Modified Firearm
The warrant stems from an investigation and arrest of Chance Boudreaux on 11/29/2019. During the investigation, It was determined that one of the firearms he was in possession of was illegally modified. The investigating officer was able to secure an arrest warrant. He was additionally booked and incarcerated.
Laurie Janell Pritchett, 37 years of age, Address-Highway 182, Morgan City, La., was arrested on 114/2019 @ 7:36 P.M.
Charge: Disturbing the Peace
Officers were called to a local business on Highway 182 in reference to a disturbance. When officers arrived, they were able to identify Laurie Janell Pritchett as the person causing the disturbance. She as placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and in incarceration.
Steven Norman Caston, 22 years of age, Address-Belanger St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 12/5/2019 @ 2:46 A.M.
Charge: Possession of Schedule IV CDS (Xanax)
On officer observed a traffic violation in the area of Highway 182 and Seventh St and conducted a traffic stop. During the traffic stop, Steven M. Caston was identified as a passenger in the vehicle. He was found to be in possession of Xanax. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
