The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 06/10/2014:

 

 

Ameedah T. Charles, 29  years of age, Address-Short St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/10/2014 @ 2:50pm

Charges: Warrant: Identity Theft

Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department began in investigation of an identity theft on March 13, 2014.  During the investigation, detectives were able to identify Ameedah Charles as a suspect.  It is alleged that Charles used the victim's identity to secure and open new wireless accounts.  Detectives secured an arrest warrant for Charles as a result of the investigation.  She was arrested at the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.  She was later released on a bond of $2,500.00. 

 

 

Jerry  L. Percle Jr., 45 years of age, Address-Second St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/10/2014 @ 3:05pm

Charge: Operating a Vehicle with a Suspended Drivers License; No Insurance; Warrant: Terrebone Parish-Driving Under Suspension, Speeding.

A patrolling officer observed a vehicle being driven by Jerry Percle on La. Highway 182 in Morgan City.  The officer, aware that Percle was operating a vehicle with a suspended drivers license, stopped the vehicle and detained Percle.  It was confirmed that Percle was operating a vehicle with a suspended drivers license and no motor vehicle insurance.  He was arrested.  Percle was also found to be wanted on outstanding warrants for Terrebone Parish for similar charges.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Jessie C. Davis, 22 years of age, Address-Duke St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/10/2014 @ 3:27pm

Charge: Warrant: Simple Robbery; Resisting an Officer; Simple Escape; Felony Probation Violation

     Jessie Davis was placed under arrest on an outstanding warrant for Simple Robbery after he was located inside the City Court complex.  As Davis was being escorted to the Morgan City Jail facility by city marshals, Davis broke free and attempted to escape by fleeing on foot.  Officers were summoned to assist and located the subject, Jessie Davis in the area of Railroad Ave.  As officers converged on Davis, a good samaritan assisted officers in his capture.  Davis was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail facility where he was booked and incarcerated.  

 

 

Vincent Thomas, 20 years of age, Address-Mount St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/10/2014 @ 7:40pm

Charge: Direct Contempt of Court

Vincent Thomas, who was incarcerated in the Morgan City Jail facility was booked after he was charged with Contempt of Court.  Thomas was accused of becoming unruly during court proceedings and was additionally charged with contempt of court.  He was booked and re-incarcerated. 

 

 

Tiffany N. Chauvin, 31 years of age, Address-Uranus St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/10/2014 @ 9:51pm

Charge: Create/Operate a Clandestine Laboratory for the Unlawful Manufacture of CDS; Create/Operate a Clandestine Lab for Unlawful Manufacture of CDS within 1000 ft. of a School Zone; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Possession of Schedule II CDS-Methamphetamine; Possession of Schedule II CDS-Adderall.

Charge: Create/Operate a Clandestine Laboratory for the Unlawful Manufacture of CDS; Create/Operate Clandestine Laboratory for Unlawful Manufacture of CDS within 1000 ft of School Zone; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Possession of Schedule II CDs-Methamphetamine; Possession of Schedule II CDs-Adderall

     Detectives with the Narcotics Division of the Morgan City Police Department began in investigation into the presence of a clandestine laboratory used to manufacture Methamphetamine, a controlled dangerous substance.  Investigators learned of the location of the activity and secured a search warrant for a Brashear Ave. hotel room.  The hotel was within 1000 ft of an elementary school.  Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department, with assistance from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Department executed the search warrant and came into contact with two subjects, David Mire and a female, Tiffany Chauvin.  Detectives located a clandestine laboratory at that location which was active and in the process of producing methamphetamine, a controlled substance.   The area was secured and a crew was summoned to the scene to clean up and secure the area.  During the investigation, detectives located items of paraphernalia, finished methamphetamine, and another Schedule II CDS-Aderal.  Both Mire and Chauvin were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated.
