Arrest Report 06/24/2014

The following were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 06/23/2014:

 

 

Megan Fontenot, 25 years of age, Address-Berwick, La. was arrested on 06/23/2014 @ 8:00am

Charge: Operating a Vehicle with a Suspended Drivers License; Stop Sign Violation; Warrant: Lafayette Parish-Failure to Appear for Arraignment

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign at Freret and Fifth St. and stopped the vehicle to investigte.  The driver, Megan Fontenot was found to be operating a vehicle with a suspended drivers license.  She was also found to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for Lafayette Parish authorities.  She was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Justin P. Scarbrough, 22 years of age, Address-Delmar Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/23/2014 @ 7:20pm

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Pay Fine-Red Light Violation

Justin Scarbrough was transported from LEC in Centerville, La. to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked on an outstanding warrant for the Morgan City Police Department.  He was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Demarcus D. Holly, 18 years of age, Address-Egle St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/23/2014 @ 7:52pm

Charge: Warrant: Contempt of Court

Demarcus Holly was located on Egle St. in Morgan City by a patrolling officer and placed under arrest on an outstanding warrant for the Morgan City Police Department.  Holly was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Jacob R. Salley, 36 years of age, Address-First St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/23/2014 @ 11:21pm

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Appear-Child Restraint; Warrant: Failure to Appear-Driving Under Suspension; Warrant: Failure to Appear-No Insurance; Warrant: Failure to Pay Probation Fee; Warrant: Failure to Appear for Probation

     A patrolling officer observed a suspicious subject in the area of Front St. and Freret St. and stopped to investigate.  The subject, identified as Jacob Salley was found to be wanted on several outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department.  Salley was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Carla Johnson, 52 years of age, Address-Fifth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/24/2014 @ 12:52am

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Appear-Domestic Abuse Battery; Warrant: Failure to Appear-Second Degree Battery

     A patrolling officer observed a suspicious subject in the area of S. Everette in Morgan City and stopped the subject to investigate.  The subject, Carla Johnsonw as found to be wanted on outstanding warrants.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Robbin M. Vining, 45 years of age, Address-Francis Dr. Berwick, La. was arrested on 06/24/2014 @ 1:26am

Charge: Possession of Schedule I CDS-Synthetic Cannabinoids; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

A patrolling officer observed a vehicle parked in the area of Fourth St. and Greenwood St. and stopped to investigate.  The driver of the vehicle, Robbin Vining was identified and appeared to be impaired and nervous.  During the encounter Vining was found to possess items of drug paraphernalia and synthetic cannabinoids.  Vining was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.
