MCPD Arrest Report 11/23/2020
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 72-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 113 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 11/20/2020:
Candido E. Ramirez, 68 years of age, Address- Wren St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/20/2020 @ 10:00 am.
Charge: Warrant- Careless Operation
Warrant- Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense
Candido Ramirez was located on Wren St. and placed under arrest for active warrant he held for Morgan City Police Department. Ramirez was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Tyler J. Aucoin, Address-32 years of age, Address- Federal Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/20/2020 @ 8:39 pm.
Charge: Warrant- Failure to Pay Fines (6 cts)
Warrant- Failure to Appear (2cts)
Officers located Tyler Aucoin in the area of Cypress St. A warrant check was done on Aucoin and it was determined that he held active warrants for the City Court of Morgan City and the 16th Judicial District Court. Aucoin was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
James Tarleton Jr., 27 years of age, Address- Taft St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 11/20/2020 @ 9:01 pm.

Warrant- Contempt of Court

A patrol officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Bowman St. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Jordan Butler. During the course of the investigation, suspected marijuana was located in the vehicle along with drug paraphernalia and a firearm. Butler was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Malcom Cole, 20 years of age, Address- Mister Max Court Grey, La. was arrested on 11/21/2020 @ 1:03 am.
Charge: Tail Lamps Required
Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
A patrol officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Victor II Blvd and Greenwood St. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Malcom Cole. During the course of the traffic stop, a firearm was located. A computer check revealed that Cole had a prior felony conviction. Cole was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Cotina L. Walton, 38 years of age, Address- Charlotte Dr. Patterson, La. was arrested on 11/21/2020 @ 8:18 pm.
Charge: Resisting an Officer by giving False Information
Warrant- Failure to Appear for Arraignment (2cts)
Warrant- Aggravated Battery
Warrant- Criminal Damage to Property
A patrol officer observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation in the area of Federal and Brashear Ave. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was later identified as Cotina Walton, after giving the officer a false name. A warrant check was done on Walton and revealed that she held active warrants for the Morgan City Police Department and the City Court of Morgan City. Walton was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Christopher D. Woods, 29 years of age, Address- Eleventh St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/22/2020 @ 7:27 pm.
Charge: Warrant- Failure to Appear for Trial
