Arrest Report 09/30/2014

The Morgan City Police Department arrested the following individuals during the last reporting period beginning 09/29/2014:

 

 

Johnny Deberry, 59 years of age, Address-Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/29/2014 @ 10:21am

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Pay Fine; Warrant: Probation Violation

     Officers located Johnny Deberry in the area of First St. in Morgan City and placed him under arrest on outstanding warrants for the Sixth Ward Court of Morgan City.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

David D. Brown, 43 years of age, Address-Todd St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 09/29/2014 @ 2:40pm

Charge: Improper Display of a LIcense Plate; Operating a Vehicle with a Suspended Drivers LIcense; Warrant: Failure to Appear-Stop Sign Violation; Warrant: Failure to Appear-Driving Under Suspension; Warrant: Failure to Appear-Expired License Plate; Warrant: Thibodaux P.D.-Failure to Appear-Driving Under Suspension; Warrant: Hahnville,La- Failure to Appear-Traffic Violations

     An officer observed a vehicle with an improperly displayed license plate and stopped the vehicle on Highway 182 to investigate.  The driver, David Brown was found to be operating a vehicle with a suspended drivers license.  Brown was also found to be wanted on several outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department as well as both Thibodaux Police and Hahnville Police Departments.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Jeffrey Watts, 28 years of age, Address-N. Bayou Black Dr. Gibson, La. was arrested on 09/29/2014 @ 5:32pm

Charge: Reckless Operation of a Moving Vehicle

     Officers in the area of Fifth St. near Louisiana St. observed a motorcycle being driven in a reckless  manner.  The operator of the bike was observed driving on one wheel and then sped away at an estimated 60-70 mph in a 20 mph zone.  The area was observed to have several bystanders and children walking and playing in the area.  The driver was eventually stopped in the area of Myrtle St. and Railroad Ave. by officers and detained.  Jeffrey Watts was identified as the driver and placed under arrest for the reckless driving.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarerated. 

 

 

David T. Francois, 42 years of age, Address-Grove St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/29/2014 @ 6:04pm

Charge: Warrant: Hold for Probation and Parole

     Officers located David Francois on Brashear Ave. and placed him under arrest on an outstanding warrant.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Ernest W. Dupont, 17 years of age, Address-Fig St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/29/2014 @ 8:40 pm

Charges: Possession of Schedule I CDS-Marijuana; Violatoin of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Law

Taylor M. Richard, 17 years of age, Address- Poplar St., Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/29/2014 @ 8:40pm

Charges: Possession of Schedule 1 CDS-Marijuana: Possession of Schedule 1 CDS-Synthetic Marijuana: Violation of Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substance Law

     Narcotics detectives received information of suspicious subjects walking in the area of Franklin St. in Morgan City. Upon arrival in the area, narcotics detectives came into contact with Ernest Dupont and Taylor Richard. During the investigation officers located suspected marijuana on Dupont and Suspected Synthethic Marijuana as well as Marijuana on Richard. The area the subjects were located in was within a 1000 feet of a School Zone, therefore the subjects were additionally charged. Dupont and Richard were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated.

 

 

Willis R. Junifer, 55 years of age, Address-Federal Ave, Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/30/2014 @ 1:47am

     Willis Junifer was located on Victor II Blvd. where he was placed under arrest on a warrant for Sixth Ward Court of Morgan City. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
