Arrest Report 11/22/2014

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 11/21/2014:

 

 

Wesley Foster, 42 years of age, Address-New Orleans, La. was arrested on 11/21/2014 @ 4:17pm

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Pay Probation Fee; Possession of Schedule I CDS-Synthetic Cannibinoids

     Officers dispatched to the area of the Mr. Charlie Rig Museum regardind a suspicious vehicle located a male subject, Wesley Foster who was found to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for the Morgan City Police Department.  Upon his arrest, Mr. Foster was also found to be in possession of a substance determined to be synthetic marijuana and was additionally charged.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Tiffani Delaune, 27 years of age, Address-Highway 182 Berwick, La. was arrested on 11/21/2014 @ 6:45pm

Charge: Warrant: Doctor Shopping (Illegal Acquisition of a Controlled Substance) (3 Counts)

     Detectives of the Morgan City Police Department began an investigation based on a complaint of the improper acquisition of a prescriiption drug.  During the investigation, evidence was obtained that indicated that a female suspect, Tiffani Delaune had acquired a controlled substance, Aderol multiple times during a two month period from multiple doctors.  It was confirmed through the investigation that the subject had visited multiple doctors to obtain the drug.  She was located at her residence and placed under arrest on the outstanding warrant.  She was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated with a bond of $30,000.00.

 

 

Annie L. McIntyre, 30 years of age, Address-John St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 11/22/2014 @ 12:40am

Charge: Warrant: Doctor Shopping (Illegal Acquisition of a Controlled Substance) 19 counts

     Detectives of the Morgan City Police Department began in investigation into the illegal acquisition of a controlled substance based on a complaint filed.  The suspect, Annie McIntyre was identified and accused of visiting multiple doctors over the same time period in order to obtain multiple prescriptions for the same controlled substance, Aderol.  During the the investigation, it was learned that the suspect, McIntyre had made 19 such transactions during the past year.  Annie McIntyre was arrested on the outstanding warrant at the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated with a bond of $30,000.00.  

 

 

Corey Toups, 27 years of age, Address-Cross Rd. Bayou Vista, La. was arrested on 11/22/2014 @ 10:33am

Charge: Simple Battery; Resisting an Officer

     Officers responded to a complaint of a disturbance at the Daiquiri Shop on Highway 182.  Officers arrived and during the investigation, observed a male subject, Corey Toups shove an off duty reserve officer who was assisting at the scene.  Toups attempted to strike the officer and was subdued.  Toups was physically restrained and placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. He was released after posting a cash bond of $1,184.00.

 

 

Carlos Cespedes, 48 years of age, Address-Victor II Blvd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/22/2014 @ 4:02pm

Charge: Warrant: 2 Counts Attempted First Degree Murder; Warrant: Aggravated Burglary; Warrant: Theft of a Motor Vehicle; Warrant: Violation of a Protective Order

      Carlos Cespedes was arrested on several outstanding warrants based on an investigation by Morgan City Police Detectives into an incident which occurred on November 14, 2014.  In that complaint, officers responded to a Seventh St. residence in regards to shots being fired. Officers arrived and located a male and female victim who were unharmed but had reported that the female had entered her residence and found an acquaintance, Carlos Cespedes inside her residence.  Witnesses advised that Cespedes had fired several shots at the female victim and a male subject.  The female victim advised she was chased and at least one other shot was fired by the suspect as Cespedes chased her.  The subject, Carlos Cespedes, reportedly took the male victim's vehicle and then fled the scene.  Carlos Cespedes, who was under a restraining order banning him from any contact with the female victim was identified as the suspect.  During the investigation, Detectives were able to secure information which led them to the location of the suspect in the New Orleans area.  The Attorney General's Office Fugitive Apprehension Task Force was able to use that information in capturing the fugitive.  Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department traveled to New Orleans where they located Cespedes and transported him back to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and remains incarcerated with a bond of $500,000.00.  

 

 

Donald P. Laughlin, 44 years of age, Address-Third St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/22/2014 @ 6:51pm

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Pay Fine; Simple Battery

     Officers responded to a complaint of a disturbance at Front St. and Brashear Ave. and located a male subject and female subject involved in an altercation.  As officers arrived, the male subject, Donald Laughlin was observed striking the female and was detained.  Laughlin, who was found to be wanted on an outstanding warrant was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
