Charge: No Drivers License 3rd Offense; Window Tint Violation

Josue Reyes was arrested after a patrolling officer observed a vehicle with dark window tint. The officer stopped the vehicle and identified the driver, Josue Reyes and determined that Reyes did not possess a valid drivers license. Reyes, who had been previously charged with the same violation was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Charge: Appearing in Public Intoxicated

Jerry Boyer was located and placed under arrest near the intersection of Freret St. and Fifth St. after officers were dispatched to that location regarding a subject who was intoxicated. Officers located Boyer walking in the area in an impaired condition. Boyer, who could barely keep his balance was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Peter Grogan was arrested after an off duty officer was advised that Grogan had just attempted to leave a Highway 182 supermarket without paying for items valued at $29.22. Grogan was detained and the items recovered. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
Miguel A. Galeas, 25 years of age, Address-Federal Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/28/2014 @ 2:16am
Charge: Domestic Abuse Battery; Resisting an Officer

Officers were dispatched to a Federal Ave. apartment in regards to a male subject striking a female in the area. Officers arrived to located the pair in front of the complex and observed the female to have physical evidence and minor injuries indicating a battery had occured. The male subject, Miguel Galeas attempted to evade officers and was detained. The subject attempted to flee from officers and was restrained and placed under arrest. The female was questioned and confirmed that a battery had occured. Galeas was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Charge: Warrant- Sixteenth Judicial District Court: Failure to Appear for Trial-Obscenity

A patrolling officer stopped a vehicle and detained the driver, Francisco Morales after a traffic violation was observed. Morales was found to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for the Sixteenth Judicial District Court and was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Robert Gussman Jr.was located at an Aucoin St. residence after officers received a call of a disturbance at a Bush St. residence. In that complaint, Gussman was accused of striking another subject during an altercation then fleeing from the residence. Gussman, was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Michelle Brown was arrested after officers were dispatched to Teche Regional in regards to a disturbance. Brown was accused by staff and security officers of harassing patients and guests causing a disturbance. Brown reportedly refused demands to stop. Caffery Williams was located and arrested at a Highway 182 convenience store after officers were dispatched to that location in regards to Williams causing a disturbance with other customers. Williams, who was attempting to drive from the premises was stopped and detained. He was found to be in possession of alcoholic beverage in his motor vehicle and was also found to be operating a vehicle with a suspended drivers license. He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. Tyler Kapp was located near the area of Federal Ave. and Everette St. after officers were dispatched to the area in regards to several subjects blocking the roadway and refusing to move. The officers located the suspects and identified Kapp was being wanted on outstanding warrants for failing to appear in the Sixth Ward Court on previous charges. He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
