MCPD Arrest Report 04/10/2015

The following persons were arrest by the Morgan City Police Department during the last activity period beginning on 04/09/2015:


Thomas Tabor, 53 years of age, Address-Cypress St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/09/2015 @ 1:32 am


Charge: Resisting an Officer by Giving Falas Information
               Possession of Drug Paraphanalia
               Simple Assault
     A patroling officer investigating a traffic violation came in contact with Thomas Tabor. Prior to identifiing Tabor, he attempted to conceal his identity by using another name.  During the course of the investigation suspected drug paraphanalia was found on Tabor.  Officers also located identification on his person that indicated that he was Thomas Tabor. Tabor was arrested and transported to Morgan City Jail and during the booking process he took a fight stance and threaten to hit one of the officers. Tabor was booked and later released on bond.

Ashley Dowdy, 29 years of age, Address-Hwy 182 West Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/09/2015 @ 10:14 am

Charge; Hit and Run Driving
               Driving Under Suspension
               No Insurance

     An officer conducting an investigation into a hit and run accident was alerted by a witness as to the location of the suspect vehicle. According to reports, the officer identified Dowdy as the driver. Dowdy admitted to hitting a vehicle at a Roderick St. business and leaving the scene. Dowdy was also was found to be driving with a suspended license and could not provide officers with proof of insurance.  Dowdy was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and released after posting bond.
