MCPD Arrest Report 07/01/2015

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 06/30/2015:


Bradley S. Williams, 25 years of age, Address-New Iberia, La. was arrested on 06/30/2015 @ 12:59 pm.


Charge:  Simple Burglary
                Simple Criminal Damage to Property
                Possession of Sch I Marijuana (synthetic)
                Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

     Officers were dispatched to the area of Martin Luther King and Victor II Blvd. in regards to a school bus being damaged. When offiicers arrived, they were told that a subject was hanging around the bus, a short time before officers arrived.  A description of the subject was given and officers began to search the area.  Officers located a subject fitting the description in the area of LA 182 near Cottonwood St. According to reports, the subject, Bradley Williams admitted gaining entry in the bus.  Officers also located on Williams suspected synthetic marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.  

Jonathan J. Martin, 31 years of age, Address-Pasadena, Tx. was arrested on 06/30/2015 @ 7:32pm.


Charge:  Distribution of Sch I Synthetic Marijuana
                Possession of Sch I Synthetic Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
                Possession of Controlled Dangerous Subject in the Presence of Persons Under 17 years of                  age
                Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

     The Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division conducted an investigation at a local motel on LA 182. During the course of the investigation, officers located suspected synthetic marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the room that Jonathan Martin was occupying. Three juveniles were also present in the room with Martin.  Martin was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.  The juveniles were turned over to a family member.
