The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 09/15/2015:


Ray C. Granger, 28 years of age, Address-Cafferay St. Franklin, La. was arrested on 09/15/2015 @ 1:00 pm.


Charge: Direct Contempt of Court

     Ray Granger was charged with direct contempt of court for disrupting court proceedings in the City Court of Morgan City. Granger was already incarcerated in the Morgan City Jail Facility. Granger was booked and continues to be incarcerated.

Calvin S. Singleton, 33 years of age, Address- Everett St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/15/2015 @ 7:39 pm.

Tia H. Randle, 40 years of age, Address- Everett St.  Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/15/2015 @ 7:39 pm

                Transactions Involving Proceeds from CDS Activity
                Violation of Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substance Law      The Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division conducted an investigation of illegal narcotics being sold from a residence on Everett St. With the assistance of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office, a search warrant was executed on the residence. Located in the residence were two individuals, Calvin Singleton and Tia Randle.  Items located in the residence were suspected cocaine, suspected marijuana, synthetic cannabinoids, pills identified as clonazepam, tramadol, hydrocodone/acetaminophen and items used to smoke illegal narcotics. US currency in the amount of $250.00 was also located. Both Singleton and Randle were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
