MCPD Arrest Report 10/12/2015

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 10/09/2015:


Nicholas A. Breaux, 37 years of age, Address-Pierre Part, La. was arrested on 10/09/2015 @ 5:04 pm. 


Charge:  Warrant- Failure to Appear (St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office)
                Warrant- Failure to Appear (7cts)

  Nicholas Breaux was located in the area of Federal Ave. and Egle St. A local warrants check was done on Breaux and it was determined that held active warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court and the Sixteenth Judicial District Court. Breaux was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Vaughn J. Bourque, 48 years of age, Address- Patton St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/09/2015 @ 10:39 pm.


Charge:  Reckless Operation of a Vehicle
                Hit and Run Driving
                Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated 2nd Offense

     Officers were dispatched to the area of Hwy 70 near Victor II Blvd  in regards to a reckless driver that had hit several street signs.  A description of the vehicle was given out and officers located the vehicle in the parking lot of a local business on Victor II Blvd. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Vaughn Bourque was asked ro exit the vehicle. Officers observed that Bourque appeared intoxicated and was unable to maintain his balance, while talking to officers.  Bourque was asked to perform the Standard Field Soberity Test, in which he performed poorly.  Bourque was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the department, Bourque was asked to submit to the chemical test for intoxication. Bourque refused and was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated. Bourque was booked and incarcerated.

Pablo C. Fonte, 58 years of age, Address- Veterans Blvd. Patterson, La. was arrested on 10/10/2015 @ 10:59 am. 


Charge:  Appearing in Public Intoxicated

    Officers were dispatched to a local business in regards to an individual passed out in one of the restrooms.  Officers arrived and made contact with Pablo Fonte. Fonte appeared to be intoxicated and officers could smell a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath. Fonte was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Andres R. Mendoza, 22 years of age, Address- Houma, La. was arrested on 10/11/2015 @ 2:15 am. 


Charge:  Appearing in Public Intoxicated. 

     An officer in the area of Federal Ave. and Bush St. observed an individual walking that appeared to be intoxicated. The officer made contact with the individual, identified as Andres Mendoza. Mendoza had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath. Mendoza was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Oscar B. Ochoa, 48 years of age, Address- Terrebonne St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/11/2015 @ 8:38 pm.


Charge:  Hit and Run Driving
                No Driver's License
                Careless Operation


     Officers were dispatched to the area of Sixth and Terrebonne St. in regards to a hit and run vehicle crash. When officers arrived, the victim stated that her vehicle was hit and the driver of the other vehicle did not stop. A description of the suspect vehicle was given out. The vehicle was located in the area of Front St., but the driver was not inside. Morgan City Police Department received information that the driver of the vehicle could be located at a residence on Amelia St. Officers arrived at the residence and made contact with the driver, Oscar Ochoa. According to reports, Ochoa did admit to driving the vehicle and causing the crash. Ochoa was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

James R. Goode, 39 years of age, Address- LA Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/11/2015 @ 10:39 pm.


Charge:  Hit and Run Driving 
                No License Plate
                Improper Backing

     A patrol officer was dispatched to a residence on Roderick St. in regards to a hit and run vehicle crash. Officers made contact with the victim, who stated that she witness the suspect vehicle back into her vehicle and proceeded on. A description of the vehicle was given out and the vehicle was located at a local business on LA Hwy 182. Officers noticed damage to the vehicle consistent with the damage of the vicitm's vehicle. The vehicle also did not have a license plate. The driver, James Goode was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration,

Frank R. Casteel, 28 years of age, Address- LA Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/11/2015 @ 11:02 pm. 


Charge:  Warrant- Possession of Sch I Marijuana
                Warrant- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
     Frank Casteel was a passenger in a traffic stop and a local warrants check was done on Casteel. It was determined that he held an active warrant for the Morgan City Police Department. Casteel was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
