MCPD Arrest Report 10/22/2015

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 10/21/2015.


Ollie R Carlisle, 42 years of age, Address: Darlene Street, Patterson, La. was arrested on 10/21/2015 @ 6:31 P.M. 


Charges:  Warrants -
                 Failure to Appear on Allowing Dogs to Roam
                 Failure to Appear on No Head Lights
                 Failure to Appear on Driving Under Suspension

     Ollie R Carlisle was transported to the Morgan City Police Department by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Officer in regard to warrants for his arrest held by Morgan City Police. Carlisle was booked into the Morgan City Police Dept. Jail and incarcerated.

Shanell N Sanford, 21 years of age, Address: Second Street, Berwick, La. was arrested on 10/21/2015 @ 7:41 P.M.


Charges: Warrants held by the Morgan City Police Dept.
                Aggravated Criminal Damage to Propety
                Attempted Second Degree Murder

     Shanell N Sanford was placed under arrest at the Morgan City Police Department in regard to warrants for her arrest held by Morgan City Police. The warrants stemmed from an investigation conducted by the Morgan City Police Dept. of an incident which occured on 10/19/2015. Officers responded to an address on Hwy 182 in regards to a vehicle crash and disturbance. A vehicle was located which appeared to have struck a utility pole and the driver was identified as Shanell N Sanford. According to reports, during the course of the investigation Sanford was involved in an argument with an individual.  During the argument, Sanford supposedly got into a vehicle  and attempted to strike the individual with the vehicle crashing into a utility pole. Sanford was booked on the warrants and incarcerated. 
Michael M Gonzales, 27 years of age, Address: Glennwood Street, Morgan City, La. was arrersted on 10/21/2015 @ 8:53 P.M.


Charges:  Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
                  Resisting an Officer
                  Battery on a Police Officer

     Officers responded to an address on Ditch Ave. in regard to a distubance. Contact was made with the owner of  the residence who stated that Michael M Gonzales was intoxicated, causing a disturbance and wanted him removed from the residence. Officers then made contact with Gonzales who according to reports was believed to have been drinking and appeared to be intoxicated. Gonzales supposedly began using prophane language and was shouting at officers. Gonzales was placed under arrest and began to fight with officers when attempting to place him into handcuffs. Reports indicated that officers were struggling with Gonzaels when Gonzales bit one of the officers. After a short struggle Gonzales was detained and transported to the Morgan City Police Dept. where he was booked and incarcerated.

Darell Gash, 34 years of age, Address: Orange Street, Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/21/2015  @ 9:39 P.M.


Charges:  Possession of Synthetic Marijuana
                  Appearing in Public Intoxicated

     Officers reponded to Fourth Street in regard to a complaint of a subject staggering in the area. Officers located Darell Gash who according to reports appeared to be intoxicated. Gash was placed under arrest and a search was conducted when officers located suspected synthetic marijuana on his person. Gash was transported to the Morgan City Police Dept. where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Tieyon Martinez, 29 years of age, Address: 11th Street, Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/22/2015 @ 3:38 A.M.


Charge:  Driving with a Suspended Drivers License

     Officers responded to an address on General Patton Street in regard to a distubance. Officers arrived and were told that Tieyon Martinez was involved in a disturbance but had left the residence before officers arrived. A description of Martinez's vehicle was provided when an officer located the vehicle on Brashear Ave. near Fourth Street. A traffic stop was conducted and Martinez was asked to produce a valid drivers license but could not do so. A drivers license check revealed that Martinez's drivers license was suspended according to reports. Martinez was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Dept. where he was booked and incarcerated.
