MCPD Arrest Report 10/28/2015

The following persons have been arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 10/27/2015.


Kenneth M Rhyne, 38 years of age, Address: Shane St. Pierre Part, La. was arrested on 10/27/2015 @ 12:27 P.M. 


Charge:  Possession of Schedule III Controlled Dangerous Substance (buprenorphine)

     Officers responded to a local business on Hwy 182 in regard to a subject sleeping behind the wheel of a vehicle. Officers arrived when contact was made with Kenneth M Rhyne who was identified as the occupant who was reported to be asleep in the vehicle. Reports indicated that while speaking with officers, Rhyen appeared to be very nervous. Officers were assited by the Morgan City Police Dept. K-9 which resulted in a search of the vehicle being conducted.  During the search officers located what was believed to be Buprenorphine inside of the vehicle. Rhyne was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Dept. where he was booked and incarcerated.

Travis D Lamar, 33 years of age, Address: Palm St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 10/27/2015 @ 2:54 P.M. 


Charges:  Warrants - with the 6th Ward City Court
                  Probatoin Violation
                  Failure to Appear on Poss. of Synthetic Marijuana
                  Failure to Appear on Issuing Worhtless Checks

     Travis D Lamar was turned over to the Morgan City Police Department by the 6th Ward City Court in regard to warrants for for his arrest held by Morgan City Police.  Lamar was booked into the Morgan City Police Jail and incarcerated.

Jinny L Menegay, 20 years of age, Address: Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/27/2015 @ 3:16 P.M.


Charges:  Possession of Marijuana 
                  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Bradley R Mamieson, 20 years of age, Address: Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/27/2015 @ 3:16 P.M. 


Charges:  Possession of Marijuana
                  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

     Officers responded to an apartment building on Hwy 182 in regard to information of illegal drug activity inside one of  the apartments. The officers arrived when contact was made with the two occupants of the residence who were identified as Bradley R Jamieson and Jinny L Mengay. Reports indicated that officers observed suspect marijuana along with drug paraphernalia in plain view. A search was the residence was conducted when officers located more suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Both Jamieson and Menegay were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Dept. where they were booked and incarcerated.

Melanie A Ruffin, 44 years of age, Address: Canary St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/27/2015 @ 4:57 P.M.


Charge:  Warrant - the 6th Ward City Court
                Failure to Appear to pay fines

     Melanie A Ruffin came into the Morgan City Police Department to turn herself in on an active warrant held for her arrest by Morgan City Police.  Ruffin was booked into the Morgan City Police Dept. Jail and incarcerated.

Kentrell F Diggs, 23 years of age, Address: Lagonda St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/27/2015 @ 9:30 P.M. 


Charges:  Warrants - with the 6th Ward City Court
                  Probation Vilolation
                  Failure to Appear to Pay Probation Fee

     Kentrell F Diggs was transported to the Morgan City Police Department by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in regard to active warrants for his arrest held by Morgan City Police. Kentrell was booked into the Morgan City Police Dept. Jail and incarcerated.
