MCPD Arrest Report 10/30/2015

The following persons have been arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period which began on 10/29/2015.


Frank R Johnson, 49 years of age, Address: Louisiana St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/29/2015 @ 10:50 A.M. 


Charges:  Warrant: 6th Ward Court-Probation Violation
                  Warrant: Failure to Pay Probation Fee
                  Warrant: Failure to Appear to Pay Fines 
     On officer was patrolling the area of Fifth Street near Louisiana Street when Frank R Johnson was observed in the area. A warrants check revealed that the Morgan City Police Dept. held arrest warrants for Johnson. Johnson was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Dept. where he was booked and incarcerated.

David B Morgan, 34 years of age, Address: Pine Hill, Iowa, La. was arrested on 10/29/2015 @ 4:19 P.M. 


Charges: Warrant - First Degree Rape
                 Warrant-  6th Ward Court -Failure to Appear for Disturbing the Peace 

     David B Morgan was transported to the Morgan City Police Department Jail from Iowa, La. in regard to active arrest warrants for Morgan held by Morgan City Police Department.  One of these warrants stemed from an investigation conducted by the Morgan City Police Detective Division based on a complaint reported in August 2015.  It is alleged that David Morgan raped female victims, currently ages 13 and 9 years of age on multiple occasions since 2009.  The investigation is continuing. Morgan was booked into the Morgan CIty Police Department Jail and remains incarcerated on a $100,000 bond.
