MCPD Arrest Report 12/15/2015

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 12/14/2015

Ted Smith, 47 years of age, Address-Dawn Dr. Morgan City,La was arrested on 12/13/2015 @ 6:43 pm.


Charges:  Remaining after being Forbidden
                  Resisting an Officer      Officers were called to an address on First St. in Morgan City,La.  Officers arrived to find a subject identified as Ted Smith causing a disturbance.  Smith had been advised on several occasions that he was not allowed back at the address.  Smith was advised he was under arrest at which time he started to resist officers.  Smith was handcuffed after a short struggle and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

Rachel King, 41 years of age, Address-5th St. Morgan City,La was arrested on 12/13/2015 @3:12 pm


Charges: Disturbing the Peace
                 Resisting an Officer
                 Battery of a Police Officer
                 Remaining after being Forbidden
     Officers were called to a Hwy 182 business after a complaint of a subject causing a disturbance.  Officers contacted the subject later identified as Rachel King and spoke with her about the complaint.  Officers advised King that manager of the business asked that she leave.  King refused to do so.  King became very loud with the officers at which time officers attempted to arrest her.  King began to struggle with officers after which she was handcuffed and transported to the Morgan City Police Department.  Once at the Morgan City Police Department Jail, officer attempted to place King into a holding cell.  While do this King committed a battery on an officer.

Ty Hammonds, 35 years of age, Address-Patterson,La was arrested on 12/14/2015 @ 11:31 am

Charges:  Warrant Probation Violation-City Court of Morgan City
                  Warrant-FTA to pay fine for Driving while Intoxicated
     Ty Hammonds was arrested while at City Court in Morgan City.  Hammonds was booked for warrants from City Court of Morgan City for Probation Violation and Failure to pay fine for Driving While Intoxicated.  Hammonds was booked into the Morgan City Jail facility.

Dondre Parker, 19 years of age, Address-Levee Road, Morgan City,La was arrested on 12-14/2015 @ 4:06 pm

Charges: Warrant- Disturbing the Peace by Fighting

Passion Harris, 19 years of age, Address-Garber St. Morgan City,La was arrested on 12/14/2015 @ 6:27 pm


Charges: Warrant-Disturbing the Peace by Fighting
     Dondre Parker and Passion Harris were arrested by officer on warrants for Disturbing the Peace by fighting.  Warrants were filed after officers investigated a complaint of a fight in the area of Garber St. on December 10, 2015.  Both subject's were booked into the Morgan City Police Department Jail.
